Ejection Door won't Close

When ejecting tape the mechanism wont close. There is a latch or something inside which wont engage. Any fix?

-   I PUT A CASSETTE INSIDE AND I TRIED TO PLAY IT.SUDDENLY IA HEARD A SOUND AND IT STOPPED.THEN I TRIED TO EJECT BUT I COULDN ' T.I UNSCREWED SOME SCREWS AND FINALY I MANAGED TO PUT OUT THE CASSETTE.ALTHOUGH THE TAPE DOOR IS STUCKED AND I CANNOT CLOSE IT.WHEN I PRESS EJECT I HEAR A SOUND OF A MECHANISM BUT IT DOESN' T WORK.IT SEEMS LIKE IT DOESN' T GRAB SOMETHING PROPERLY I GUESS.-   DR_KATZ

IMPORTANT: If your camcorder model has a RESET button, first try pressing this button. If there is no RESET button, or pressing the button does not resolve the issue, continue with the troubleshooting steps below.
  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery from the camera.
  3. Remove the AC power supply from the camera.
  4. Slide the power switch on the camera to the VTR, VCR or CAMERA mode for 15 seconds.
  5. Slide the power switch back to the OFF position.
  6. Connect the AC power supply to the camera.
  7. Attempt to open the cassette compartment.

I had the same problem with my 360X.
I took the camera apart and found two screws loose that hold the tape carrier to the rest of the chassis. The unfortunate thing is that I had to pretty much disassemble the entire camera to get to those two screws. It's working again. I'm assuming those two loose screws were the problem.
