SOURCE: Directv Tivo recorder no remote programming code for Visio 37''

If it were a Tivo series 3 you might have better luck with it.

http://www.tivo.com/setupandsupport/technicalsupport/compatibilityhelp/Using_the_Learning_Feature_of_the_TiVo_Glo_or_Series3_Remote.html

I've had my series 2 Tivo for about 2 1/2 years and never found the correct codes for it. I think it works off of a list of TVs manufactures about 3 years ago.

SOURCE: visio tv model 42L

SUPER EASY!

The IR sensor is only about 1"x1" and is held by a single screw.

First, you must popped off the back cover (probably 25 screws)

Then the IR sensor will be in the bottom lower corner.

Un-do the screw, unplug the IR sensor, put in your new IR sensor and you're back running!

Hope this helped! It's an easy fix! please rate!

I need to know how to use rm ed007 remote to set up my sony dvd to play on sony bravia tv

The "rm ed007" remote that you mentioned is most likely a universal remote control, which can be programmed to control multiple devices, including your Sony DVD player and Sony Bravia TV.
To program the remote to control your Sony DVD player, you can follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your Sony DVD player.
  2. Locate the code for your Sony DVD player in the code list provided with the universal remote.
  3. Press and hold the "Code Search" or "Setup" button on the universal remote until the indicator light turns on.
  4. Enter the code for your Sony DVD player using the number buttons on the remote.
  5. Test the buttons on the remote to make sure that they are controlling the Sony DVD player as expected.
To program the remote to control your Sony Bravia TV, you can follow these steps:

How do I get my Sony universal remote to work with my Visio tv!

On your Visio TV remote control there will be a Source button or Input button. Press it & on your TV screen select HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. See the TV to see how the HDMI cable is connected from TV to Set Top Box. Now take the other remote control i.e. Sony Universal remote in your hand. Press mute & Select simultaneously. A blue light will blink twice, Immediately release the buttons & enter the code. You have to be extremely fast in doing this.
Following are few codes which you can try:
002, 000, 011, 080, 111, 006, 071, 128, 1904, 925, 0000, 0834, 0810, 1685, 1786, 1032, 1972.
Check the Visio TV manual for the make of your TV & model no & if code is printed. Then contact Visio TV manufacturer or retailer for the Visio TV code to enter & synchronize with the Sony Remote Control.

We recently purchased a Visio lcdhd tv and the manual that came with our Jumbo uiversal remote doesn't show the code setting for the Visio. Is there a code you can give us.

We can't give you the code without specific model numbers for both the TV and remote control. Try the codes for the Visio models that are listed in the manual. There is a good chance that Visio used the same coding system for more than one model. If that doesn't work, check the Internet support page for your remote control. It may have additional models listed, and one may apply if Visio used one of the other remote control systems on the market at the time your remote control was manufactured.

I have 5 codes for Vizio, 4 are the same that the 4 that I have for Viewsonic, so start traying those if you find them in your remote book. But I didn't find a match for the 5` code.

Good luck
