if it happens 2 u try taking all cables and accesories. then take out your hardrive and reconnect all cables. if it doesnt work then im afraid your going to have to get it repaired.

The problem is the G.P.U. color map feed to the hana/ana chip
has started to loose contact with the P.C. board.
The fix it yourself kit, tutorial, guides will all yield a temporary fix,
1-2 months on average after witch the console will now have
a warped board and become increasingly less reliable.
And will be difficult to do a stranded repair ie re-flow of the G.P.U.

There is a good product that will address the problem and will
repair your console with out damaging the board. If your handy
with tool you can install it yourself. It's called a C.C.A.
or a G.P.U. clamp. more information is available from

What arethe black dots appear when playing a xbox game

These "black dots" you talk abotu could be a variety of things and since you haven't given much detail it's hard for me to say.

Just double check it's not your TV or cables or any nearby electrical products causing interferance so you're certain the problem originates from your Xbox 360.

Hopefully, it's just a problem with your cable, maybe it's not plugged in right or maybe a replacement will fix it.

When I say hopefully, I mean, hopefully it's a cable fault as opposed to an Xbox 360 hardware fault. Variations of black lines or dots, or just general artifacts on screen while using your 360 usually happens prior to a hardware fault usualy concerning the GPU.

I guess it's just a waiting game for you now mate.

Just check it's not your TV or cables or any nearby electrical products causing interferance.

Screen fills with black lines and dots when playing games

Does it ever get the Red Ring of Death? If not, it sounds like it will soon. I have lost 2 360s that way.

check your game for deep scratches on the cd if there is none, then your best bet is shipping it back to microsoft or there is actually a company that fixes your 360 for a cheaper price. just google xbox 360 recall and if you look through the pages of signatures you will find an advertisement for 360 recalls go to that and call the #, i hope it works out for ya.

Black lines 1/8 of an inch apart going down my screen when playin

I had this happen a few times, then after a while it stoped working all together. In the end I was getting the E74 message code appear when I turned on my xbox 360.

You'll probley get this happen with yours soon, the E74 code means theres a problem with your visual display.

Sometimes it can be as simple as changing your HD Lead or scart lead, whatever your using. If you know someone else with a xbox try theirs.

If this doesn't work you'll have to send it off to mircosoft, it will be free if your still under warrenty, if not I think it's about £100+

Or you could go on www.cd24-7.co.uk and buy one of their DIY kits.

Hope this helps.

Black dots on screen

That's the problem with the GPU, You should sent it back if it's still under warranty.

other option is to fix it yourself by replacing the xclamps.

here's what you need. I've fixed many units for friends.
