The blue/white wire is amplifier remote turn on, so if don't have an amplifier you don't need to worry about it. Just cap it off so it doesn't short to anything. I'm not completely sure, but I think the brown wire may be a phone mute wire. You don't necessarily need it either. If you have no sound, you may want to check your speakers and speaker wires for any shorts, grounds or bare spots.

NO SOUND OUT OF NEWLY INSTALLED PIONEER DEH-X6600BT

Did the Durango have the Infinity sound system? If so, there is a separate amplifier that is probably not being activated. Look for a blue or blue/white wire on the harness adapter and connect it to the Pioneer's blue/white wire. If it does not have blue/white, use the solid blue one.

I disconnected the gas pedal relay and can't remember where the wires reconnect

There should be three wires that connect to the gas pedal. Red, White and Blue, (how patriotic!). On the gas pedal switch, the middle connection is the white wire the closer to one of the end is the blue wire, and the other is the red wire. Hope this helps.

Amp wont produce sound when car is on only when car is off it works

Ok do this little experiment when you turn on the car again disconnect the amp turn on wire from the amp. then get a small wire then strip back both ends with a wire stripper only exposing enough for the copper wire to show. then touch one end to the 12volt on the amp and touch the other end to the amp turn on terminal. The amp should come on and the sound should come on. Your problem then is your amp turn on connection is wrong and may be connected to the power antenna wire which may not be able to handle the load and shuts off so I suggest connecting it to the ignition wire so whenever the radio is on that wire will send 12 volts to the amp to turn it on. Sometimes On the back of the radio harness there are two blue wires. One is Blue and the other is blue white. Always connect it to the Blue white cause thats the amp turn on wire. The solid blue wire is the power antennna wire. Also possible the blue/white wire is sending a weak 12volt signal so just connect it to the red wire which is the ignition wire. Dont connect it to the yellow wire because thats constant 12 volt. If you connect it there the amp will always be on and drain your car battery and you might hear big loud buzz sound when you turn off your car.

I am attempting to replace an old bathroom exhaust fan with a Broan 680 fan/light. I am having a problem with the wiring. There are 2 wall switches for the light and fan. The existing wiring has red,...

The red and the black are the hot wires. One will be the fan and one is the light. The white is the 'common' for both fan and light.
It sounds like the new fixture has got one hot for both the light and fan, they will both run all the time from one switch. This is the blue wire. Hook it to the red or the black, which ever one comes from the switch you want to control it. Hook the white to the white on the new fixture.
The green is just a ground. hook it to the new fixture green or ground terminal. Cap or the black or the red that you don't use. It won't be need for the new one. The switch that it comes from will not control anything now.

No cd audio from my phase linear uv8

It sounds like you have a factory amp in the vehicle. Check behind the radio to see if you have the blue wire from the deck hooked up to anything. You probably do. So take the blue with white stripe wire coming from the deck and hook that up instead of the solid blue wire.

Sound problem

sounds like you have the antenna wire connected to the power amplifer lead in the car.

Go behind the radio, there is a solid blue wire that will be connected to a wire in the car, take the solid blue wire off, and connect the blue/white from the radio to where the solid blue was originally connected. This should solve your problem

No sound from anything but FM

Disconnect whatever's connected to the blue wire behind the unit, and re-connect it to the blue/white wire instead.
