Joe,

If you ran your generator for 7 days, it would be running for 168 hours. You MUST stop the engine every 50 hours and replace the oil. Otherwise, you will trash the engine.

There are alot of tests that you have to run to see what the issue is. You should look at the event viewer and see what errors are listed. You should also look at device manager to see if all the correct drivers are installed. To make the jump from XP to 7 could result in hardware conflicts due to the age of the hardware. Newer operating systems are not always backwards compatible.

How to Extend Windows 7's expiry date to 120 days.

‘Rearm’ trick on Windows 7 is done using the similar commands and steps withWindows Vista. Follow these steps to reset and extend activation grace period from 30 days to 120 days in Windows 7:
Install Windows 7 without any product activation key.
After installation is completed, use the Windows 7 for 30 days and wait for the remaining days left to activate Windows counting down to 0, or almost zero.
When the activation grace period (or evaluation trial period) is almost expired or ended, log on to Windows 7 desktop, and open a Command Prompt window (i.e. type Cmd in Start Search and hit Enter).
Type any of the following commands into the command prompt, and then hit Enter:
sysprep /generalize
slmgr.vbs –rearm
rundll32 slc.dll,SLReArmWindows
slmgr /rearm
Reboot Windows 7 to enjoy another 30 days of free usage without worrying about activation nor even need to crack Windows 7.
When the activation grace period countdown timer almost running down to 0 again, repeat the ‘rearm’ trick to enjoy another 30 days of Windows 7 for free. User can run the rearm command for maximum of 3 times.

Asus My Cinema u3100mini plus stopped working Windows 7

Hello,
It might be an issue with the driver. I suggest that you install RadarSync and scan your computer with it. After scanning, update all outdated drivers with RadarSync.
I hope this helps!

The programmable timer/switch has stopped working. LCD shows nothing. Pressing the door no longer turns light on and off. Flipped breaker and no help. Seems like I need to buy another one after only six...

You posted under Aube timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Aube-timers.html

Aube timers have internal rechargeable battery that cannot be exposed to cold temperatures nor can battery be replaced when it goes bad.
Try resetting timer to see if function resumes.
Industry standard is 1 year limited warranty, so your product is under warranty.

The Aube T1032 is ordinary 7-day programmable, without astronomical capability, but it can be wired for single-pole or 3-way.
If you want same type of timer without battery, for single-pole only, Home Depot carries 15071
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15071
Advantage: no battery, and this timer can be exchanged in-store without shipping costs.

Lowes carries Utilitec 0141244, for 7-day single-pole, without battery:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-LW60418.html
Lowes also carries 7-day & astronomic 0192773, single pole, no battery

Cold days car will start and run for 3 seconds and stall for 20-30 min until it starts and continues to run

The reason is that , the fuel line is out of fuel, so the running for 3 seconds is just the use of the trapped fuel in the injector line, after which it will stop. The solution is to on the ignition by turning the key without starting the ignition. this allows the fuel pump to release enough fuel into the fuel line and the injection system. Allow this for 5- 7 seconds, then start the car. It will run without interruption.

a modem is designed to run 24/7 on the chips in factories they run them in abnormally hot and cold conditions for days on end to see if they can stand up to long term use and in different conditions but you have nothing to lose if you turn it off every now and then except your internet and or phone line
