Sounds like a bad sensor... it is still recording the data of how you shot it but because the sensor is broking there is no image that was captured

Set Date and Time Display to FinePix T410 Camera

The date and time appear in the lower-left corner of the screen, both when taking pictures and when reviewing pictures you've already taken.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

The viewing screen is dark when I go to take a picture. It works when I am reviewing pictures already taken.

You could try and connnect to your camera to a desktop or where ever you save your photos to. A settings reboot may be needed to refresh your cameras software

If display screen on camera is damaged, will the pictures already taken be damaged?

No your pictures already taken are fine as they are stored on the memory card.

If there is no other damage to the camera you can still take pictures and they too will be fine.

Hope this helped. Please rate the answer if it does.

Trying to view pictures

If you mean trying to view pictures already taken, then consider this:

there are 4 small buttons, one on each corner, and one large one in the middle, on the back of the camera. Press the top-left one to toggle between viewing and taking-picture modes. Then you can use the larger one to move from one picture to the next by pressing the left or right side of it.

Record/viewing pictures already taken

I would like to thank the team at FixYa.com for responding to my problem with the quickness I might add. I didn't ask the experts however because I was, after several hours, able to download the manual online. Thanks for your assistance and speedy response.
