Question about Bell & Howell BH-41 Digital Camera

Open Question

Camera turns on, but when button is hit, no sound nor green light processing(therefore no photo).

When button to snap picture is hit, no sound is heard, nor green light processing(therefore no photo saved). Camera turns on (the screen shows full battery, full memory, 12 previous pictures taken and highest level of picture quality. Button to snap picture still goes down easily. New batteries. Camera is a: BH41 1.3 Mega pixel I looked inside, and there is no loose wires nor visible cracks. There must have been pressure on the bottom because a piece of camera shell came off. In this area there is a capasitor (size of a battery) and a white band for electrical signals. No visible cracks. There is a slight dent in a grey capasitor. It says 2b 100 6.3v. Button to snap picture still goes down easily. New batteries. Loretta

SOURCE: camera not displaying pictures

I was fighting with a Scanner and camera Wizard issue in XP and looking at all kinds of sites, forums. One that came up was someone had a similar problem to yours and had to go into Norton and uncheck removable drives to get the drive to show up. Also check the microsoft site for fixes, patches for ME. On my problem the drive wasthere but the wizard would not open and someone suggested to remmove Realplayer. It worked!!

I have a DMC-TZ 10. I have photos in the built-in memory that I want to transfer to my computer. I can't find my USB cable so I was going to copy onto the SD card and on with a card reader. The problem...

Go to the "Menu", then in the green arrow (pointing right) go down to "copy" and then make sure the "IN-->SD is highlighted, and hit the menu again. It'll come up saying "Copy pictures from Built-in Memory to Memory Card? Yes/No...highlight "yes" by hitting the up arrow on the side (above the "menu" button which is in the center, hit the one above the round button there), and it'll say "Please wait, with an hourglass turning as it copies the pics to the card. Then it'll say "pictures copied" and return you to the main listing of pictures. Hope that helps

Whenever i on the camera some sound is coming while taking pictures only,it is not coming when iam looking the snaps after that

Camera noise can be common during autofocus, image stabilization, and of course pressing the shutter release. It seems possible that the noises you noticed are part of normal the normal photo taking process, since you only hear them when taking a photo, not when reviewing photos (a process which doesn't use autofocus, image stabilization or the shutter release).

If you're not experiencing any problems taking photos, the sound may just be part of normal camera operation. However, if you're still concerned, I recommend you take your camera to your local camera store to have an expert listen to the sounds.

Photos are fuzzy

as you take a picture ( scene w/o flash ) slightly press the snap button and wait till red or green box appear, if red box, out of focus. if green box in focus. when green box, make sure you and the focus are very still, then take a clear picture, pressing the button all the way. make sure no shaking as press button either.

Canon A620 No Picture

First try hitting the DISP button (sorry if this offends, but many people have made this mistake). If this doesn't help, next try resetting the camera. Turn on the camera, and hold the menu button for at least five seconds. Believe reset is also in the menus.

If the above doesn't help, then unfortunately this sounds like your CCD image sensor may have failed. This would then require professional repair. Contact Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON.

Focusing Still Photos with SD870 IS

If you check page 45 in the manual, you'll see that the orange light during the half press indicates that the flash is turned on. A single beep means that the camera is having difficulty getting a "focus lock" (usually when shooting in low light conditions). See page 100 of the manual for suggestions on how to improve the chances for getting a well-focused picture.

The flash and timing are messed up.

what mode are you in?

go to and try to download a manual in the customer support section. i believe sony is fairly on top of these things and as its a recent released camera it's definitely there if they stock user manuals on the site.

if it says "processing" when you take the pic, you are in low-light mode and it's holding the shutter open abnormally long to let in as much light as possible. this is for moonlit pictures and such where you would otherwise see BLACK. and it uses no flash, so it must 'expose' the picture longer than normal.

if you dont know or cannot figure out hot to modify the camera settings put it on the little green camera setting, or "auto" mode. then push the flash button until it has ONE large lightning bolt, or a crossed-out lightning bolt for the fastest flash or no flash.

you could have it in "slow-syncro" which flashes numerous times to expose more of the photo-field to light......

get a manual :) its a good one and well-wort using and learning for such a nice camera.

best of luck!

Why doesn't the shutter button on my EasyShare digital camera work?

The cause and solution may include one of the following: The camera is not turned on. Turn on the camera. The camera is processing a picture; the camera Power ring light (on the Mode dial) blinks green. Wait until the light stops blinking before taking another picture. The card or internal memory is full. Transfer pictures to the computer, delete pictures from the camera, switch storage locations, or insert a memory card with available memory. The shutter button was not pressed. Depress the shutter button completely down. There was a failure in the focus and/or exposure. Press the shutter button halfway to set the Auto Focus (AF) and Auto Exposure (AE). When the AF/AE indicator turns green, press the shutter button completely down. The battery is exhausted. Replace or recharge the battery
