Would a modulator valve on a 2004 grand am not go in reverse

2004 doesn't have a modulator valve . An if it did it would affect all gear operation , Shift hard , but would still go into gear. You have an internal transmission problem !

The plastic connector at the solenoid valve broke causing machine to leak water.

The connection needs an o-ring and a washer in order to be water tight. I hope you still have the old ones from the plastic version.

The pressure seal is at the tubing/o-ring/inside-wall of the connector, not the tube-end/bottom. The washer's job is to compress the o-ring a little so it presses against the connector's inside wall and the tubing's outside wall. There's a ferrule inside the tubing to give the tubing crushing-resistance.
A tiny daub of food-safe grease around the o-ring (say, vaseline) will help ensure water-tightness and help with reassembly.

O-ring:

Washer:

As far as the clip being loose, it shouldn't fall out easily. The looseness is due to the missing parts.

Why does my Breville BES830XL espresso keep tripping the circuit all of a sudden?

Hi Chris, I don't know your machine but this sounds like a leakage of current to earth or possibly a poor connection. If your power plug unscrews I would open it and check the wire clamping screws inside in case one has worked loose over time. If that doesnt help I would suspect that the heating element has developed a leak to earth due to age wearing it out. Heaters don't last forever unfortunately. If you can get it looked at professionally an insulation test would prove whether this is the cause.

EC89 HARD TRIPS RESET ON COLD STARTS.SOMETIMES WONT FILL AT ALL.WHEN IT DOES WILL NOT FILL PAST 50PSI

Several things to check. Check amp draw with meter to make sure that the reset is not bad. It amp meter is showing low amp draw when it trips, then replace reset. If reset is good check condition of the cold start valve. The valve will not allow pressure to build until motor is at full rpm and the pump is making good pressure/volume. If cold start valve does not close, check pump for leaking or broken reed valves. If cold start valve is good, check the capacitor for at least 10 percent of rated valve. Low pressure /volume is usually leaks from tubing or leaking /broken reed valves or burned gaskets in the head of the pump. Finally, make sure that the check valve or non-return valve is not leaking pressure from the tank causing back pressure. Good luck

Breville870xL loud noise when press brew buttons

The noise is caused by a (so-called 'magnetic' or sometimes 'three-way') solenoid valve's piston/plunger not seating properly or jamming when the solenoid is energized. This can be caused by too much gap between the plunger and the cylinder it's in, by roughness in the finish of the parts, or wear and tear - and indicates a faulty solenoid valve.

A bad solenoid isn't something that's repairable. It needs to replaced. There are two solenoid valve assemblies in that model, make you you get the correct one.

Pump is not shutting off, and pressure not building up

Hi Kendal

Here are a few things to check, you may have already checked some of these.

*Electricity...Compressors will run best with full 115Vot 15AMP/Or 220V electrical supply from a circuit, over the shortest electrical cord as possible.

*Air Leaks..Place your ear close to the compressor and listen for air leaking, if you hear air that is not normal and means you have to locate and repair whatever it is that is leaking.
*Check the air unloader valve... The air unloader valve will blown out air when you turned off the compressor, that is normal.
But it should not have air leaking out of it all of the time. If so then it is faulty and in need of repair/replacement.
*Valves...If either the intake or exaust valves fail, breaks, or fails to seat, then your compressor will run 24 hours a day and never build up to the correct pressure for shut-off.
*Gaskets...Check to see if your gaskets have failed.
You could have a gasket failure between the pistons and you will never know it because it shows no external air leak.
If this situation happens then the air will only cycle between cylinders and never build up the correct air pressure.
One way to check the gasket is remove the air filter, then put your hand over the intake.
If correct then it will **** you hand against the intake.
If the valve or valves have failed then you will feel the air sucking in and blowing out.
*Piston Rings and Cylinder...The piston rings could be stuck, broken, or worn and not allowing the correct pressure to build up in your tank.
A worn cylinder will also contribute to the problem of pressure build-up.
*Pressure Switch...Check for air leaks at the pressure switch, it has a rubber diaphram that can fail and leak air out of the system.
Please take time to rate me

Compressor will run, but only builds to 20 lb pressure. Line to tank gets hot.

Very hot air is an indication of leaking /broken head gasket or reed valve. Before you remove any parts, with compressor running, check all fittings for leaks with soapy water. If no leaks, remove head and examine parts. If reed valve is broken replace as needed or do creative repair. Some valve plates have multiple reeds and only one reed is broken. Depending on your skill level, you can thread the hole and seal with piece of bolt (finished repair must not be any thicker than the plate). Good luck
