Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF60XBR800 60" Rear Projection Television
The picture will go black while the power light blinks green for about 30 seconds. Then the picture gradually comes back and the power light stays green. The picture may then stay good for a few minutes or a couple of hours before the process starts over.
Sorry, i don't have the model number but it's a 60" sony Grand Wega about 5 years old.
I have a 40 but i was having the same problem. It turned out to be my lamp. I got a brand new lamp from Projector Lamp Services (relampit.com) and my tv works fine now. Im pretty sure that the 40 and the 60 take the same lamp. You might want to give them a call.

Five blinks - AKB
circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks
for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function.
Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761
and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on
the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning
up screen A2 slightly.
