Question about Dell Computers & Internet
This is generally done when installing a different operating system. When you insert your new OS media, you will quickly get to a point in the process where you will be asked to select a destination for the OS. This will be the hard drive. You should format all partitions that you want erased, and at that point the old OS will be gone.
The other alternative might be to pull the hard drive and connect it to another machine as an external drive and format it there.
