Question about Dishwashers
My dishwasher is not dispensing water when i turn it on.
Answer kind of depends on whether tub fills or not. If tub is filling and the arms just aren't spraying water, that would suggest a problem with the pump or motor. If the tub is not even filling at all, then it may be a problem with the intake strainer, solenoid or valve. If you give mfg/model and more specific info I will try to help... Tripp

Take thre drain hose off from disposal. Pour hot water down the hose until full. Cover end with hand. Press cancel/drain while holding hand over hose - over bucket. That may unstick checkvalve balls and or fix air lock. I have to do that every 6 months or so. Started happening 1 month out of warranty. Go figure. Not a fix - just a work-around...

SOURCE: water jet arm does not work
In most units, the movement of the arm is powered by the water. If the water does not come out of the arms, check the filter for debris or the arm itself. This could also be caused by mechanical issues. You may want to inspect the arms itself for loose connections or worn out parts.

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

Tips for a great answer:
Good Morning friend, thank you for your post!
I see that you are having an issue with your rinse aid dispenser not adding rinse aid into your Frigidaire dishwasher. You may need to run hot water into your dispenser to help clear out any dirt or clogs within your dispenser. If that does not help I would recommend making sure the water temperature inside your dishwasher is at 120 degrees. If the water is not at the correct temperature it will not allow proper dispensing of the rinse aid. You may also want to check the filter at the bottom of your dishwasher to assure that it has been cleaned out and is not distributing dirt or debris inside of your dishwasher. I would also recommend checking the spray arms to make sure they are not dirty and spray water evenly. You can clean them out using a pipe cleaner. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt
