Solution #2posted on May 22, 2007 By bee1 Rank: Not rated Rating: 0%, 0 votes Problem: Transferring from CX7300 to Kodak EasyShare on the computer? Posted as solution in error this date-sorry I need to know if the Ofoto offered in the Kodak e-mailing program is free? I have a filter that will not allow me to look at the albums I send and if I'm being charged for the Ofoto account it isn't worth my time. I can find no where in the terms about pricing. Can you tell me how to transfer my pictures from my camera to the computer. I have the cable that hooks into my camera and the computer but can't seem to get the pictures transferred. Thanks for your help.

Re: Transferring Pictures from Camera to Computer

. Forget Kodak or any other software that comes with a camera- just leave the disk in the box. Plug the camera into the computer- set the upload setting switch on. The computer will come up with 'found new hardware and a new drive will show in My computer click on it and there are your pictures in a folder. Click on the folder, go to Edit, Copy and go to a folder you choose and right click paste.- job done. Also The computer will very likely put up a Window asking what do you what to do with the pictures Just follow the prompts. if you want picture editing software for free just Google 'Picasa'

Pictures not transferring from camera to computer

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Still pictures in my Sony Digital camera DSC-S700 have horizontal lines. Other modes are fine. What can do to remove them? Not sure if it was dropped by my friends.

It is a bad ccd it need to be replaced some time you can get lucky by resetting the camera in the setup menu. When you take a picture the image is transmitted throught the ccd and translates the image to the cameras5.gif memory5.gif. It can be fixed. Or you can upgraded. Some places might offer a trade in value on your camera even if it is broke. end Quote: had the same problem this guy knows the way of the lcd's.

HP put out an update which can be downloaded from their site, to correct this problem. They state it's a software problem in the camera itself.
You might try powering the camera off, then restart it to see if that might help. With camera off press and hold the on switch until the logo appears, then immediately release it. Reopen the camera and follow the inquiry's which will come up on the screen.
Watch the lower left hand of the screen and see if an error message pops up momentarily, The format would be "Error 108."
You can also e-mail HP tech support and they will try to help you at no cost.
Good luck...Sitsika

Ok there are two possible answers to your problem. First and cheapest, go to Sony's website and purchase the CD directly from them. It only costs 5 bucks, and it can be nice to have around. Here is a link, Secondly, you can purchase a Memory Stick reader($10) to plug into your USB port to unload the pictures without having to have the Sony's Software. Here is and example, Hope this helps.

Pictures not transferred to the computer

The cause and solution may include one of the following: The AC adapter or USB cable is not securely connected. Check the connections, and then try transferring pictures again. Kodak EasyShare software is not installed. Install the software. There are too many programs running on the computer. Close all software programs and try transferring pictures again. The camera was removed from the dock during picture transfer. Replace the camera on the dock, and press the Transfer button. The Transfer button was not pressed. Press the Transfer button.
