I have uniden cordless phone model dxa15588-2, how do I register handset on base?

1-Press the hangup key (represented by a red phone) and the "#" key at the same time for at least five seconds.
2-Select "Deregister hs." Choose the handset and press the "Select" key (which also shows an envelope for messages).
3- Choose "Yes" to confirm deregistration. The phone clears its registration information from the base and deletes the link from its memory. The message "Handset not registered -- place handset on base to register. See owner's manual for help" now shows on the display. If you are out of range of the base, "Out of range" shows.
4-Place the handset in the base charging cradle. The phone automatically selects a new security code from those stored in the base.
5-Make sure your phone is working again after "Registration Complete" shows on the display
Hope this will Help. Thank you for using Fixya !!!

Phone message reads

If you are not too far away-not "out of range" then try rehoming/pairing the handset with the base unit. You probably need the phones together to do this. Your manual will explain how-it will have been done in the original setup.

Handset No2 displays out of range message

Please check that you have correctly registered the second handset to the base. It may be necessary to de-register the second handset and then re-register it. "Out of range" just means the second handset is not within range of the base phone it was registered to.

Out of Range

It needs to be re-synced to the base unit. Check manual for exact directions, but it could involve anything from unplugging battery and base unit power, resetting in cradle, and anything else......

Out of range shows on main handset of cordless phone

Unplug the battery. Hold down The * (star) and the #(hash) keys simultaneously. Re-connect the battery, phone will beep and screen will be blank. Press the voicemail (righthand silver key under the lcd screen). As above EEPROM/RAM message will appear. Place handset on base and your problem is solved.

Mount To: info@justanswer.com Cc: Cherry Shepard ; Claudia Brahms Sent: Wednesday, February 25, 2009 10:18 AM Subject: Cordless Phones and LOUSY motorola Service Hi, I have owned a Motorola SIX phone cordless system for a few years.... Motorola model MD 7080..... The cordless phones have issues.... Their screens have slowly disappeared.... and the phones now start to "cutout"... in the middle of calls.... How will I know if that is due to a battery that is now at the end of its life ??? The system is a 5.8Ghz expandable cordless system..... CAN YOU SUPPLY NEW CORDLESS phones that are compatible with the system.... or how do I get them serviced soon.... and at what cost ??? I called to the number in the Users Guide...14 800 353 2729... and after describing the fault... to a REAL person... she transferred my to a SATELLITE phone support team..... they could not help... I called back.... got a new person... that mumbled at me.... and after telling this person about the problem.... he simply.... cut my phone line... Really RUDE and obnoxious !! He described to me that I should contact Motorola through a WEBSITE..... What is that about? Can you help me !!! I have a small business to run and NEED the support as soon as possible !! Noel J.
