Cut off after recent usage

After recent usage I found the unit had gone black on the readout. I checked the breaker; ok. I unplugged and checked continuity; none. Also, checked the outlet; good.

A bit vague, What Unit?

Testimonial: "Thanks. Solution got me in the right direction. Removed the cover. Checked the fuse;good. Found an envelope with paperwork inside, that gave some tips on trouble-shooting. Didn't get far before I decided to check the continuity again. Had continuity (???) so I replaced the cover, plugged it in and it's working. Thanks again."

The A/c and heating unit does not cut on anymore. What could the problem be?

Are you sure you have power? Is it 220? if so double check Circut breaker. If it's popped and pops again when you reset, unplug the unit. Try to reset again, If it pops again when you reset, you have major electrical problem call electrician. If it holds, then you have a major appliance problem that is causing the unit to "pop" the circut breaker. If it's a central unit similar diagnostics, but you can't unplug it. So call your Heating service people. It may just be your thermostat if central system, or more.if the Circut Breaker pops.

What is the current load, or wattage usage for this unit? i am curious about this, because it took out a 30Amp breaker.

The answer to your question in on your door frame of the dryer itself. But the true question is why the breaker is tripping? Is this a new installation? Was a new cord or receptacle used? Is this a new issue to you? The reason for the questions are unless you have a direct short (a crossed wire or grounded) this issue should not happen. Lastly if the all of this information checks out ok, you may have a soft breaker. Be mindful and safe when dealing wire these issue, unplug unit when your checking for shorts or miss-wired issues. Be safe....

My RCCD unit sometimes trips when I turn my main oven on

I'm assuming you are speaking of the line circuit breaker to the stove. If that is the case and there are ** other problems that you k**w of, it is possible that the breaker has gone bad....they do. Get the same brand and rating as you had originally installed. Cut your main feed and open the terminal panel and remove and replace the unit. Restart main feed and set breaker on. If you continue to have issues, check all wiring to your stove...a loose wire or corroded contact point may be a second issue.

Honeywell thermostat

You have lost power to the A/C system. Check that the Emergency switch has not been turned to the off position by mistake. If it is in the on position you will need to inspect the indoor unit to see if an access panel may have opened slightly causing the door safety switch to open and turn power off to the unit. This is typical found where you replace the air filter. If neither of these help, check the circuit breaker box for a tripped breaker. Cycle the breaker for the A/C system and inspect the thermostat to see if it is displaying any information. If still blank, you may have a bad transformer or something else wrong and a technician will have to diagnose. Hope this is helpful.

Haier 8000btu Airconditioner

One thing you can try is to hold down on the power button and plug the unit in. Hopefully you will hear a "beep". Then you need to unplug it for a minute and plug it back in. This is a known procedure to clear error codes from the control computer on units similar to yours, so it might possibly work. Something else you can do is download and look through the Users Manual for your model, which is at this URL: --> Hope this helps! ;)
