same issue, the wall opener inside the garage works fine but the remotes stop working when the weather gets cold. We just changed the batteries so I know that isn't the issue plus the remotes work fine on warmer days.

You can keep changing batteries! Seriously, do you have other remotes. do they work? do you have a LOCK or VACATION switch on wall control . turn it off.

The light by the learn button may be sending a diagnostic code. See if it is flashing a number of times, pausing and then repeating. Count the flashes. Is your door stuck in the open posititon?

The symptoms you give are exactly the way it is when the lock function is used. The wall control and the keypad will work but not the hand remotes. If holding the lock button for 3 seconds doesn't change it you should hold in the smart/learn button for 6 seconds. This will erase all remotes from memory and only the wall control will work. Now program it for the remotes and the keypad.

Same: Only wall button works

It is your receiver that is bad and is part of the logic board. The remotes and keypad send a signal that the receiver uses to switch the relay that controls the motor. The wall control is wired directly and doesn't use the receiver. The key is both the remotes and keypad quit at the same time.

No reponse when using the remote, the wall control works fine.

The remotes use a receiver to actuate the door and the wall control does not. It sounds like your logic board is bad. Maybe a lightning storm recently? Try removing the board and look for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit.

My keypad works,my remote opener does not, even

It is related. One of the buttons on your wall control is the lock button and has a lock icon on it. Press and hold it for 3 seconds. The blinking should stop and your remote should now work.

Garage door opener remote won't work

look for a smashed wire between the motor unit and the wall button.

If the wire is smashed the insulation becomes so thin that power will leak thru the insulation.

Loosen the staples with a small screwdriver and slide the wire about ½ inch to move any areas of thin insulation away from the staples.

The second thing would be a bad wall button or a remote with a sticking button.
Or a remote in someone’s purse that gets the button pushed by other stuff in the purse.

The test is to disconnect the push button wires at the power unit. If the interference stops you have located the problem. If you reconnect the wires and disconnect the wire at the wall button this will tell you if the problem is the wire or the button.

Remote only closes the garage door, will not open it

Anytime a door opens and/or closes randomly or doesn’t work consistently I look for a smashed wire between the motor unit and the wall button.

If the wire is smashed the insulation becomes so thin that power will leak thru the insulation and activate the door or interfere with the remote signal.

If the self operation / interference stops you have located the problem. If you reconnect the wires and disconnect the wire at the wall button this will tell you if the problem is the wire or the button.

In your case the expansion of the wall in the afternoon may be enough to cause pressure on the wire to increase the problem – works in the morning but not the afternoon.

Also after you change the batteries you need to reprogram the remotes.
