Breville JE900 Leaving Juice in the Pulp and Pulp in the Juice After a Few Years Use
After a Few Years Use, my Breville JE900 is Leaving Juice in the Pulp and Pulp in the Juice. The juice is thicker than used to be and the pulp has to be squeezed thru a cloth bag to get all the juice out. What parts need replacement?
If I can't buy replacement parts I surely ain't ever buying another Breville Juicer again. There is no reason those parts shouldn't be availble - juicer technology has NOT evolved that much in the last couple years.

The motor sounds like it overloaded, I doubt it has a thermal cutout fitted (in which case you could leave it off for a while and see if it works) I doubt it has this feature and if it is the motor then the unit should be replaced.
rinse out the lid, food pusher and base(that the mesh filter sits in).
scrub out the mesh filter with a dish brush or the included brush if you have it. be carefull the grater-like parts at the base are very sharp. make sure it's clean by holding it up to the light. if there are any particles left clinging to the mesh it will seriously interfere with the effectiveness of your juicing.
you can line the pulp collecting jug with a plastic bag so that you dont have to clean that out as well.
it's best to clean everything immediately. if for some reason you can't, at least rinse the plastic parts and leave the mesh basket to soak until you can get back to it.
if you have any dried food or staining on any of the parts then a soak in water with lemon juice in it (maybe the juice of 3 or 4 lemons) should help soften up particles and strip away stains.
I think I can help. I am now using my son's juicer he didn't want & have my old one & happy to break it up for parts. It is a JE 90 J so I assume the fitting would be the same. You are welcome to ring me on 0408 352 211 for further enquiries. Cheers Kas
This is what manual doesn't tell you: clean the 3 spring loaded pins on the side of the motor clutch. Sugar and pulp may get inside and seize them when dries up, thus making very hard to separate the basket/cutter from the clutch.
