Question about CMB T43 750 Notebook

1 Answer

My Toshiba Satellite L775-00P notebook said that i should have 750 gb of total ram yet when I check my C drive it says I have 317 gb. How can that be? My computer only has a C drive with space which is 317 gb, my D drive is a cd drive for some reason. Where did the other 433 gb go?

Well,
It can be possible that your HDD is partitioned only in c drive and rest space is blank(or Unpartitioned). You can use it simly by:
1) Right Click On My Computer (On Desktop)
2) Click On Manage.
3) Select Disk Management.
Here, You can See Your How it is partitioned. if there is any blank space other then c you can create new drive yourself. just Right click on this unnamed partition and create new partition.

Good Luck.

Well Dude, Nice to see you again and you are in right way. after cheeck your image i found some unallocated (unpartitioned) part on your hard disk. so you have to partition or allocate this part of hdd. to do so, 1) Right Click On My Computer (On Desktop) 2) Click On Manage. 3) Select Disk Management. Here, You can See Your How it is partitioned. if there is any blank space other then c you can create new drive yourself. just Right click on this unallocated (indicated in Black Color) partition and create new partition. Hope You enjoy now. With Love.

No bootable device -- please restart system

THIS IS A BIOS CONFIGURATION ISSUE. WHEN YOU RESTART THE 'PUTER, HIT F2 OR F12 TO ENTER SYSTEM CONFIGURATION. THEN FIND THE MENU ITEM FOR HARD DRIVES AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE RECOGNIZED / PRESENT ON THIS BIOS CONFIG. SCREEN. SET THE HD TO PRIMARY. SAVE/QUIT AND RESTART. THIS IS A STARTING POINT FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. YOU MAY HAVE TO 'DBAN' THE DRIVE.

Toshiba Satellite Notebook M45-S351 I recently purchased an upgraded hard drive - 160 GB Samsung Spinpoint and upgraded the RAM (Crucial 1 GB, bringing the total to 1.5 GB of the allowable 2 GB). Impetus...

Remove thwe new RAM and hard drive. Does it boot to the BIOS menu? If yes, add the hard drive and do the same again then add RAM and do the same.
I suspect something does not fit in properly. Probably the RAM.
Don't forget to initialise the hard drive if trying to format it. The System disk should take care of that.

Can i upgrade my processor?on my toshiba satellite m55-s135 laptop? I am upgrading the ram from 512mb to 2gb and the hard drive to 200gb.

dont know what processor you have. If you have a celeron M you can probably upgrade to a pentium M without any problem. The ram you should check. I believe that motherboard will only support 1.5 gb. Any more you will be waisting your money.

I want to change the 2 x 512DDR ram by 2x 2GB DDR ram memories in my A205-S4577/Toshiba. Will it work?

hi,
it will work as your notebook is supporting maximum 4 gb RAM but please check that you are using 32 bit operating system or 64 bit one.
If it is 32 bit then the system will be showing 3.2 gb RAM only as this is the 32 bit os limitation.

Internal Hard Disk Upgrade

Yes, there is. Match the type of drive (Serial ATA or Parallel ATA) you get with what you have. Make sure your Satellite sees the drive in the BIOS. For drives larger than 120 GB, recommend operating systems Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or higher) or Vista. Older OS's have a 137 GB limitation (they only see the first 137 GB of the hard drive despite its size).
