This is the base station handset which shows no display and doesn't ring with an incoming call, but it is flashing the buttons and on an off constantly. Its not the batteries. I can't reset it because I cant show the menu. The other handset is working fine. Anyone else had this problem?!

Redistration to other brand DECT 6.0 base failed.

DECT 6.0 IS JUST A MARKET NAME FOR DIFFERENT BRANDS, THE WATERPROOF DWX207 WILL ONLY WORK WITH UNIDEN PHONES, ONLY BECAUSE YOU WANT THEM TO WORK TOGETHER DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL WORK TOGETHER...

I have lost the instruction manual - is there an online version?

Hi
here is a downloadable version of the instruction manual...

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=GB&slg=ENG&cat=CORDLESS_PHONES_CA&sct=DECT_PHONES_SU&grp=PHONES_GR&session=20090426060330_93.97.209.201&ctn=TD6626/BB051P&mid=Link_UserManuals&hlt=Link_UserManuals

Regarding using the base on its own, I cannot see why not if you have all the working buttons to control functions you need on it.
If you are going to use other phones with this please take into account REN values on your line. Most lines will support upto and including 4 REN value. Nearly all phones will have a REN value of 1. So ideally only have a maximum of 4 phones (may get away with 5 if you are near an exchange?)
Hope that helps?

Philips CD240 2nd phone wont connect - keeps saying searching

Hi, I solved this issue this morning. What you cannot confuse here is that handset and base. To do the registration successfully, the both must be in "Registering" mode. First, to get the base in the registration mode, you have to press <page> (a paging function for handset in case you cannot find where they are - usually button that says <page>or speaker with sound symbol on the base) more than 5 seconds, then the base is in the "Register Mode"(though you will hear no beep). You can then go through the procedure you describe on the handset and the handset should beep with assigned number no more than 10 seconds after it flashed "Waiting". The above, however, works only if the Base is still functioning. In my case, sadly, the base was more likely dead (if I press any button on the base, i.e. answer phone etc., there is no response). Hence I went and bought a new cheap GAP compatible BINATONE 1800 Single at Comet (14.99). I then set up the base, put it in the registration mode as per the BINATONE instruction. Then on the Phillips CD240 handset and gone through the above registration procedure... and Voila! It worked. Now I have a brand new base that came with 1 handset of its own, and 3 additional CD245 handsets which are all registered with this base. So far, the sound quality is good and they retained all the telephone numbers registered with the handset. The BINATONE base came with 12 months manufacturer's guarantee so I am sorted with the base problem for at least a year, which is nice. I hope this is helpful. Best, Ken

VOIP321 is unregistered

I had a similar problem. I unregistered the main handset & then when I attempted to re-register it, I had the same issue (handset attempts the registration process & eventually fails). I tried everything including pressing the "Reset" button on the back of the basestation & downloading firmware version 1.0.4.80 (started with 1.0.4.50). Turns out I had to press & hold the "Page" button on the basestation while the handset is attempting the registration process.

This info is in the manual. I know, I should have read the manual first. But at least I'm not alone; the guy at Philips told me to return the product because it must be defective.

It appears that the registration process is a security process/exchange between the basestation & handset. I'm not certain how standard this process is (i.e., whether differing manufactures utilize the same security protocols). If not, it is likely that other manufacturers' handsets cannot talk to the basestation. I mention this because you said you registered the main handset multiple times, so it sounds like you are familiar with the registration process.

Nevertheless, this might help others who decide to spend their weekend pressing the "reg" button a bzillion times, watching it fail as many times, & looking for answers on
