Question about Fun Rise Tonka Mighty Motorized Side Loader Sanitation Truck with Figure
My son has a Tonka Mighty Motorized Side-loading sanitation truck. He adores it, but the removeable "fork" that attaches to the motorized belt and holds the garbage can has gone missing. He's devasted. I've e-mailed Hasbro, which referred me to Funrise. Funrise said they don't have parts or even the product itself available. This is a brand new toy. Any suggestions on where to get a replacement part, short of buying a second garbage truck?
I can't tell you how to get a replacement part (Funrise was SUPREMELY unhelpful for me, too), but we devised a solution for our broken truck.....cut a black hair elastic and thread it through the two holes of the part that would hold the fork. Tie a knot so that it sits inside the little cavity inside that part. Your kiddo can then attach the garbage can to the lifting mechanism by using the elastic--works almost as well as the fork. Hope this helps!

You will need to turn the cable adjuster so there is only about 1/8 inch of free travel of the cable where it attaches to throw out fork before it starts to move the fork. Once the throw out bearing is achieving its full travel the clutch should release and enable gear selection.
