My craftman GVC 160 mower will not start. I use the machine at least once every two weeks. The mower is only a year old..The gas is good, the oil is full and the filter is clean. What is the fix?

Check it for spark......if there is spark......check the fuel for water.......if no water in fuel there are a number of other tests but if it's new and you haven't hit anything to shear a flywheel key or gotten any water in it, will different tests. Try the easiest ones first.

I have a gvc 160 honda motor on a troybuilt lawnmower. It is brand new. Went to start it for the first time and it shoots gas out of muffler and wont start,

Hi rick2624...
You have a stuck fuel inlet needle valve and it is allowing gas to flow thru the carburetor right into the cylinder and out your muffler.
You have a choice to make...
1. Remove the carburetor and clean it of the trash/debris around the needle.
2. Tap the carburetor with a small hammer around the bowl area and sometimes this will free a stuck needle valve.
3. Return the mower to the dealer you bought it from if still under warrenty.

Needle seat adjustment is not correct , sounds like to me, but first take your fuel cap off and see if it quit's leaking,a bad cap can cause this it creates a vacumn when shut off and siphons tank dry out the carb

Honda gvc 160 is missing

You may need the valves adjusted and maybe even cleaned. Also check the flywheel key to make sure it's not twisted sideways.
