Question about Kodak EasyShare C633 Digital Camera

1 Answer

When I turn on my Kodak C633 won't turn on.

When I turn it on lens error code 115 comes up and the red light blinks then it shuts down and lens error 221 comes up. I bought this camera in Dec. 2005 at Target.

Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

You can also have a look at THIS link.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Regards
Andrea

I have a problem with my camera c633 . i ant't start it . it' show me this message LENS ERROR 20e,1,0,0 and than it shut dawn .???????

Hi, the problem was inside of the lens unit and maybe the lens gear was damage.this is cause impact or excessive force to the said parts.
Try to open the camera if you can and check the gear inside of the lens if damage or need to be allign only. But if you cant do this you need to do is bring to service center and rquest for the estimate charge before they proceed to repair.

thank you

I am able to transfer images to my computer, but when I try to turn the M893 camera on when it's not connected to my laptop, the screen comes on for a second or two, lens comes out, green light is on and...

It has problem on the lens. Lens doesn't extend when transferring pictures that's why it works. Kodak cameras are designed to automatically shut-off when the lens is struggling to go in or out.

Follow step-by-step solution and repair on www.kodak.com/go/stepbystep if the guide did not resolve the issue proceed processing the camera for repair under the same website if it is still under in-warranty otherwise call Kodak @ 1800-235-6325 extn 1-12-2

My camera comes on (the green light blicks) for about one second then goes to red and won't come on. I have replaced the batteries several times

The camera turns on and there is a green light on the camera and instantly turns red

Try to use the KODAK Lithium Digital Camera Battery CRV3 There is a red light because the camera has insufficient power and also the lens assembly might be defective try to use the battery i recommend
