SOURCE: Whirlpool AWO3761 stuck mid-cycle

The cycle doesn't advanceWhen the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

    SOURCE: error messages during cycles

To all that have posted under this request: You should always try to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU) before assuming you have a component failure on these front load washing machines. In many cases these error codes can be erroneous and resetting the CCU will correct the problem. To reset the CCU, the washer must remain unplugged for AT LEAST 30 minutes. This is verbatim from the manufacturers technical data sheet. If the error code reappears, then more than likely, you have a legitimate component malfunction.

"Fdl" is usually caused by a door latch failure (but in some circumstances be caused by a failed CCU). If the door latch fails to lock, the washer will not complete the cycle.

"F02" is usually caused by obstructions in the drain pump causing a slow drain. You must clean out the drain pump reservoir and check the impeller for debris.

NOTE: The later models of Maytag are manufactured by Whirlpool, using Whirlpool parts and electronics. The error codes and method of correcting them are the same.

I explain all these error codes under the "Tips and Tricks" section of my profile. If you cannot find what you are looking for there, please use the "Ask Me" feature and I will do my best to provide you with a solution.

SOURCE: Washing machine displays an LF error code.

    LF = Long Fill

LF flashes when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change.
Is water supply connected and turned on?
    Are hose screens plugged?
Is water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control.

SOURCE: Error Code F8E1 on Whirlpool Duet

f8 is shown when the heater circuit is on with no water in.. it doesnt do it when you unplug the pressure switch because your disabling the heat protect circuit

    THE BOARD IS PROBABLY FAULTY

F08 indicates pressure switch stuck on full.

Unplug the appliance from the wall socket.

Take the top off the machine.

Locate the pressure switch, you can identify it by the thin tube attached to it.

Take the tube off, blow down this tube as hard as you can to shift any blockage or restriction in the pressure chamber. Give the pressure switch a couple of good taps with the screwdriver handle.

Refit the tube and try the machine again.

If still doing it, unplug again and follow the tube down.

This end will be attached to the pressure chamber.

Take this chamber off and thoroughly clean it out, clean out the port into the tub too.

    Reassemble and try again.

If after this it's still faulty you'll need to start replacing parts.

I'd suggest trying a new pressure switch first.

Failing this, if all of the above fails to resolve the problem you're possibly looking at a faulty main control board.

Zanussi zdt 6053 usually will not run full cycle (on any cycle) but stops with constant error beeps. But it is draining ok and sometimes goes full cycle (not often) Any ideas?

    Could be anything!
If you suspect that there is a fault then it will be displayed by blinking LED "END OF CYCLE". As the display of failure in hexadecimal code it can flash up to max. 15 times than short pause and after that repeat fault code. You must to count the number of times the LED "END OF CYCLE" flash up.

Example from user manual: Anti-flood device is activated.
    - continuous flashing of the indicator light of the running programme
    - 3 intermittent audible signals
    - 3 flashes of the END OF CYCLE indicator light
(which means "i30" fault code, the cycle is interrupted and the
    drain pump switches on).
    Possible causes:
Water leakage from the tub - sump and various connections
(pump, upper spray arm duct etc.); floating sensor blocked
mechanically; microswitch faulty; fill solenoid blocked
    mechanically; circuit board faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited);
    wiring faulty.
    26226179-aipk5px1bmfkdpsmrgevaqwn-3-1.jpg Could be also:
To cancel a washing programme in progress:
    - Open the dishwasher's door.
    - Press the programme selection/cancel button for about 3 seconds,
until the indicator light of the running programme turns off and the
END OF CYCLE indicator light flashes, indicating that the running
programme has been cancelled and that the machine has
returned to setting mode. It is now possible to select another
washing programme. If a new washing programme will be
selected, check that there is detergent in the detergent dispenser.

NOTE: only during the drying phase, if the dishwasher's door will be opened and remains open for more then 30 seconds, the running programme will be automatically cancelled and the machine will return to setting mode. This will happen, always only during the drying phase, also when the machine is switched off by pressing the
On/Off button and remains switched off for more then 30 seconds.
