Hi!

If the Reader is frozen, you can try the following:

1. Disconnect the reader from the computer
2. Hit the reset button at the bottom of the reader for 3 seconds
3. Slide the power switch
4. Screen will blink and will show "Opening book"
5. Allow the reader to load and then see if operational

Note: If the reader get stuck again, connect it to the computer for 15-30 minutes and allow it to charge, make sure the red steady light comes on.

Tablet frozen on polaroid screen-how can I reboot

Sony PRST2 BC has frozen.
This screen is an electronic paper screen, meaning that when it displays an image it will stay that way until it receives electric signals that change it.

Basically, even if the device has no power it will display the last image it displayed.

Are you sure the device is certainly charged? Trying to turn it off and on whilst it's plugged in and charging will be sure of this.

Tablet is frozen with yellow screen and it can't be used or turned off.

My ereader will not turn off it is frozen
If this is the Sony ereader, you can do a manual forced reset by inserting a thin wire, such as from a paper clip, into the small hole next to the power connector on the bottom edge of the unit (at least that is where it is on the PRS 300 adn 350. Push the wire in for a second or so and release.

Had this problem myself.

My amazon kindle screen is frozen on the right hand upper corner. The rest of the screen is still fine and works but that corner is frozen.
Make sure that the kindle is fully charged. Plug your kindle into the wall charger, a yellow light will light up. When the yellow light turns green, your kindle is fully charged. Then try turning on your device. If the device still does not turn on, hold the power switch for 15 seconds, this will reboot the device.

My Sony reader prs-600 is frozen. The reset button doesn't do anything. How do I unfreeze it? A part of my screen still works, but a big part doesn't. What can i do?
Try holding the reset for 5-10 seconds, then flip the power switch quickly, three times. If this doesn't work, check the light next to the power switch. If it is flashing yellow, follow the same process. It might take up to three tries.
