My dog chewed the thermostat wire by the compressor, i replaced the chewed wire now the thermostat won't turn on, therefore; no ac.. could it have blown a fuse? if so, where are they?

Either you have blown the low voltage fuse located inside the air handler (if there is one) or you have blown the transformer feeding the low voltage control wiring.

If the transformer is blown due to no fuse installed, I would recommend installing a low voltage 3A fuse in line with the red terminal coming off the transformer. This will protect the transformer in the future.

You are either, low on refrigerant, dirty evaporator or filter or the blower is not working or running at the proper speed.Unless you know how to check it out , you should have a HVAC technician look at it.

Can i run fire rated 18 gage wire in the same wiremold with other lowvoltage wire ie burg wire

Yes, provided the 18 gauge wire is being used in a low voltage application. You do not want to run any type of high voltage wire in any raceway with low voltage. Hope this helps.

Air handler turbine fan does not come on

A bad fan relay is not sending high voltage to the fan. A defective thermostat not sending low voltage to the fan relay.
How did you check the fan to say that it works?

Air handler does not respond to thermostat

If you have high voltage power to the air handler you need to make sure there is a low voltage call to the air handler from the thermostat. sounds like the low voltage wiring is miswired.

I want to find the transformer for the 36 volt inside unit. Is it in the inside unit or outside unit .I have no power to the inside unit however the outside unit has power, and the inside unit appears to be...

It's a 24v transformer. Your indoor unit houses the transformer for the outdoor unit. The outdoor has a low voltage (24v) supply running to it to push in the contactor for the outdoor unit to run. If your air handler inside has no power then it will kill your LOW VOLTAGE power to the outdoor unit. You will still have the high voltage power to the outdoor unit. You may have a fuse on the switch for your air handler blown if there is one. On the disconnect switch mounted to your air handler, you will have a door to open and a fuse in there. If not, check your main breaker at the panel. If you don't know what a transformer looks like, you may want to have someone familiar with electrical of HVAC help you. To check the transformer for power, you first need power to your air handler, which you don't have. I would say that is not your problem. I would assume your air conditioner is not running outside, correct? Your problem is the power (HIGH VOLTAGE) to your air handler. Loose wires, blown fuse, tripped breaker etc...

I have a Ruud air-conditioner/heat pump and it blows 5 amp fuse.

It sounds like the thermostat wire going to the condenser is ground, It either got pulled loose and is touching the housing or as in most cases the wire got cut or was chewed by an animal. You need to turn electric off to both devices and physically inspect the thermostat wire going from the air handler to the outside unit, also inspect where they connect inside the unit. When you find the break, cut and strip each individual wire and securely wire nut each conducter red to red white to white and so on. There you go all fixed. That's when I give you the bill for $75...except this time you write that check to yourself. Good Luck

Inside blower will not run on cool but will on heat.

try changing the low voltage wiring inside the t-stat.
put a jumper from G to Y and it should fix the problem with the t-stat.
this will always run the fan when cooling is called for.
if this does not work the problem is the fan relay.replace the relay.
