Question about Logitech Elite 967234-0403 Keyboard

1 Answer

Alright so my keyboard on my desktop just crapped out on me. I'm trying to figure out what it is and have no idea. I try the usb ports on the front, no luck. But when i plug the mouse in the front along with the keyboard, they mouse doesnt work. I then plug the keyboard in the back no luck. I tried plugging the mouse in beside it and the mouse wont work. If the mouse is in a front port and they keyboard is in the back the mouse works but they keyboard does nothing. Also when the keyboard is the only thing plugged in it still wont work.

Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

Keyboard failure on dell dimension 2400

Your keyboard needs to be pluged into one of either a USB port, if it has a USB connection or a PS2 Port if it has a PS2 connection.

USB is the rectangular shaped port, while the PS2 is a round, usually purple coloured connector.

Try pluging it in and out, with USB connection type try another USB port at the rear of the chassis or on the front too.

It is possible that the keyboard is faulty, in other words it has come to the end of it's life. Meaning that you may need another keyboard.
Try this keyboard on another computer, a friends computer will do. You could even try a friends keyboard in this computer as another test.

Take care!

KEYBOARD WON'T CONNECT TO PC USB PORT, TRIED 3 DIFFERENT KEYBOARDS. MOUSE CONNECTS FINE

Will the keyboard connect to the port you have the mouse in? The only thing I can think of is that there are bent pins in the USB port on the machine. If it has more than one USB port try another one. If all else fails you can always get a USB hub.

On booting up, computer can not load keyboard system.

One possible problem is that your PS2 keyboard port at the back of your PC is ruined. In time, those so called "outlets" become loose specially the ones with cables which usually got pulled or tangled and make the port strained and the contacts get loose.
If that is the case, you might need to replace the keyboard port, or just stick with your usb keyboard.

Keyboard stopped working

Have you tried cleaning out the keyboard?

Dust can get in there & play havoc on the plastic board inside of it.

I take mine apart every 9mos to a year, completely.

Did you figure out your KVM?

if you tried to connect your mouse to the keyboard port and still it doesn't work. Power cycle meaning unplug the KVM from the CPU, monitor, keyboard and mouse. Then wait for about 30seconds before reconnecting again. If you still encounter the same problem that the keyboard port won't work then it means that keyboard port is defective. Replace it.

Keyboard not working

Minimal information to go on. Since you didn't specify whether this is a laptop or desktop, I'll respond with the assumption that it's a desktop.

Power off computer.

Install new (known working) keyboard.

If that doesn't correct the problem, your issue is probably with the PS/2 or USB port your keyboard is plugged into.

If you are using a USB keyboard, first try moving it to a different USB port, then booting. If that doesn't help, try a PS/2 keyboard.

If you cannot get a known good (working/new) PS/2 keyboard to work in replacing a PS/2 keyboard, try a USB keyboard.

Mouse and keyboard not working / recognized by computer

Hi,
If its an USB keyboard and mouse, try to insert keyboard in upper port and mouse in lower port USB.
Sometimes when they Both are inserted in port in same line, they are unable to Fetch equal amount of power.
Try this and do restart your computer, after inserting them in USB ports. All the Best

Well this problem has nothing to do with your Operating System. This has everything to do with your System Bios.

Basically, the first thing you need to determine is "Is it USB or PS2?"

If it's USB:
1) Is it installed in a USB Hub? It might not have enough power, try a different USB port.
2) Go into the system bios. Look for an option that says "Enable USB Support" make sure it's enabled.

If it's PS2:
1) The connection might be lose, turn the computer off, unplug it, plug it back in.
2) Try a different PS2 Keyboard, same problem? Your PS2 ports are failing, buy a USB Keyboard.
