Hi, I have a sharp aquos LC46D62U and the left speaker is blown. How to repairs it? Do I have to call sharp for it? There are several replacement speakers pull from these tv's available on ebay. Is it a good idea to buy them for repair. Thanks Kris.

Normally the menu is generated in the LCD Control Unit. If your menu looks good, but the defect is behind the menu, I would suspect the Main PCB. Good luck to you. Part# is DUNTKD934FM01-V1.

Power and OPC LED lights flashes?Common on Sharp LCD tv.Tv is still useable.Tv have Tuner signal board problems.Every times Power and OPC LED lights flashes.Just push the remote power button again and wait.Sometimes Power and OPC LED light will flashes require push power again wait again Power and OPC will flashes two or three time push power button and wait.Must do this two or three time before the backlight will light up and tv work.

Try the main resets in the back by the a/v in and out jacks. If this does not work, call Sharp Customer Service and tell them that you already did the resets. There is a known problem with a heat dissipation pad for the onboard speakers and they will send a repair tech to replace the pad for free, even if you are out of warranty. At least that was the case with my LC-32D6U.

check for bad capacators on the boards they often have a rise in esr and confuse the chipsets

i have had to replace the hdmi input board on these units to fix them.

1ST YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONFIRM IT IS THE SPEAKER. IF YOU HAVE A HEADPHONE JACK ON THE SET PLUG INTO IT. IF THE LEFT SPEAKER IS STILL WEAK THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE AV BOARD IN THE SET.

the sharp some models dont put a spacer between the speaker and the case causing the speaker to hit the case at med to high volume you can check this and make you a spacer out of washers on each screw that mounts the speakers between the case and peaker frame make sure that the washers or spacers you use dont contact the speaker core. and dont do anything that will void the warrenty if nothing else let the store fix it.

Sharp list no issues or service tips for this model but I am sure most freeze ups are and issue of weak cable signals or defective cable receivers. If this has truly been elimnated the main digital pcb in the TV could be issue or more likely the TV may need the latest software upgrade. This is most likely only able to be facilitated by a Sharp auth. service center.
