Phone keeps saying invalid sim

Messages When You Turn on the Phone
  • When turning on your phone you may find a message requiring you to take a certain action before you can use the phone. If the message says "INSERT SIM," make sure the SIM card is installed in the phone or that it hasn't become loose. The SIM card is located in the battery compartment. Remove the battery cover and the battery. The SIM card should be located near the bottom of the phone under the metal hinge. Insert or secure the SIM card with the contacts facing down, reinsert the battery and batter cover, and turn your phone on again.

If the message reads "PHONE LOCK," the SGH U600's automatic locking function is enabled. Enter the phone's password to unlock the phone.

When using the phone for the first time, you will be prompted to enter a PIN. The PIN is given with the SIM card for your phone. Enter the PIN number exactly as given. You may also have the "PIN Check" feature enabled on your phone, which will require you to enter the PIN every time the phone is powered on. You can turn off "PIN Check" in the "Settings" menu.

A message asking you to enter a PUK means you attempted to enter the PIN number three times and failed. You must contact your service provider to get a PUK.

Can i use my samsung sgh-u600 in the usa? i bought it in italy and use a sim card with it. will it be compatible with a sim card in the usa?

All SIMs are compatible, only they should be the same generation, eg, GSM etc. You have to check the band of the phones. If Quad band, it will function everywhere in the world. I just checked from www.gsmarena.com that your phone is a quad band. Hence it will work in the US. You can even have roaming for the US or get a card there and use it.

My mobile keeps saying limted service?? why its a samsung u600.

    dear,

did u check the same service provider connection on an other mobile..
if that one is ok and catching max. signal or not saying limited service then this can be caused by software issue or with hardware also..

to check that your phone is ok for any SIM not only the existing one...
put the sim of another service provider to check...if it doesnt show limited service then its mean the SIM problem...

if the behaviour is the same for all then its the phone problem itself..
    check it by the way...
if its phone issue do a factory reset or update firmware..

    hope u understand the matter.........
