Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Lynx Touch system installed which had been working fine until a power outage due to hurricane Sandy. The system went on battery backup until that was exhausted. Now that the power is back on the system will not go into the standby state. It runs thru the start up procedure but displays only a white screen - no icons or any info. I've tried unplugging the system and removing the backup battery, I also tried the buttons both before and after startup but nothing has worked. Is there any magic to get it to boot up or at least isolate the problem ? Did something get fried during a brown-out or power spike ? Any suggestions would be appreciated

SOURCE: Blank Screen on HP Laptop
HP has identified a issue with the DV6000Z and monitor. I just reported the same problem to HP and even though off warranty, they will fix free. Power up of DV6000Z you will get 3 beeps and no monitor display. External monitor does not work either. This is a known issue woth the DV6000Z.

There is a common problem with this machine; the mother board flexes and the processor mount partly separates from the motherboad. You tube posts a couple of solutions but they involve taking the laptop apart and applying heat from a heat gun to resolder the mount; it is not a solution for the faint hearted. Thinkpad/Lenovo might consider reparing the unit as it is basically a desgn/production defect but don't hold your breath.

i think the problem is in your monitor......if your monitor is not working properly these kind of problems will arise......otherwise the problem may be with your graphics card.....but if your graphics card is new means.....the chances of problem occuring by it will be low or none.....i suggest you....to give your laptop from where you have buyed.....that is if your laptop company is sony means....give to sony......this is the best way dude......dont try any other method......give it as soon as possible.....otherwise your laptop will face other problems also.......i am software engineer and i have experience in it.....thats why i am telling you this......try this....it will work 100%
