I have a Kenmore to freezer model 106.74253400 when it stops running it clunks multiple times and shakes sounds like someone is knocking it is cooling properly. It's 9 years old.

The compressor motor is rattling around in it's shell. It had mounts, but they wear out. It may be ok, but I would price replacing the compressor, or the whole unit, depending on what shape it is in.

We also have a 10 year old Kenmore side-by side that has stopped cooling. The compressor continues to run (does not turn off after a few seconds). Worth repairing???

well to be honest its a "no, no" a 10 year old unit is not very good and is costly to run to fix it would cost half the price of a new one, and by now you must have had your money's worth out of it, so its best all round to buy a new one to fix your unit it would need a new compresser a re,gas and maybe a thermostat as well, ,,see what i saying,,,lots of money for an old unit

Amana Cooling Condensing Unit fan stops spinning after 15 mins

Capacitor, dirty condencer coil causing the motor amps to run too high. But most likely worn bearing on blade side of motor causing it to pull to one side causing it to over heat and shut down. Sleve bearings should have no side play.

Kenmore freezer and fridge is not cold - not frost build up - compress anf fans are all running

You need a qualified technician for this problem.
- Your unit may have leaking try to check for oil traces.
- The system maybe restricted, system reprocess is needed for this unit.
- If the unit is no frost try to check if there is an air circulation inside the unit. If no air is present then check your fan motor inside.

Thermostat ?

The Air conditioner are good only the adjustment of thermostat are the problem, select the thermostat in lower #3 you observe the thermostat will off in such time temperature reach to #3 If you full adjustment the compressor will not off.
In fan selector the compressor will autamatic off because no connection attached fan only .
