Only the orange light glow when being charge, what should I change ?

My son has a Nintendo DS that had the same problem. The battery was no good--wouldn't take a charge. We bought a new battery and that didn't fix it either, so don't waste your money. All we can figure is he must have dropped it or something happened while it was in his backpack (kids!). We tossed it and got a new one. I'll be upset if it's something simple!! Good luck to you.

it might be a bad battery. try useing i diffrent one. like from a friend or something.

does the green ligth stay on without the charger, it maybe bricked, and it may need files to fix the problem! or could be battery but the psp should start with the charger on

Remove the battery.
Plug the PSP charger into the PSP.
Turn it on.
The PSP works with no battery inside.
If you're not getting a green light at all, your PSP has some sort of damaged as it should work while plugged in with no battery inside.

replace the battery as it may be out of CYCLES even tho it says its fully charged if the battry is new your going to need a new element inside usually this consist of a new logic board under the battery pack.
