You can use Norton or Macafee antivirus software which are very well known and widely use ,I will suggest Norton,
but update the Virus definations before running scan and delete the impacted files if those are not system files or imp files.

Let me know in case of any issue
Enable boot scan also in system Bios.

Hi there
It depends on the type of virus which has been let loose on your your machine, if its a high risk and destructive virus for example Win32 virus there is nothing much that you can do! If you just caught the virus there may be something you can do to clean the machine although i must warn you that this will only be a temporary fix because it will return within a week or so (maybe even earlier)
Try AVG8 Free and Spybot search and destroy, both of these antivirus and antispy software are completely free!!! just google them both and download and run them, this may resolve the problem for a while. I would however back up all of your data just in case the virus is not removed

Good luck and kind regards

Microsoft security essential is not very effective against viruses. Please install another antivirus. I suggest you to install avast is available for free for 1 year. After that you can install it and again install it and you will get 1 year more. Do this always to get it free forever. If this doesn't solve your problem them uninstall chrome and install it again.if this also doesn't solve the problem then it it's better you uninstall chrome and install Firefox.

This is the name of a common ScareWare virus.
Boot in safe mode with networking. By repeatedly pressing F8 as the pc is booting. (if you see the windows logo try again)
One in safe mode download and install spybot.
Run a scan and you should be good.

Working of my computer is effected by the virus. i have downloaded two three antivirus softwares but still problem plz guide me

The problem you are facing is that the virus loads when your system boots and once loaded they are designed to hide themselves and most have custom code tailored to most of the major anti virus programs.

What you need to do now is make a boot disc with a virus scanner on it and put that disc in so when you boot you want to boot from it which will prevent the virus from loading and give you a chance to remove it before it can hide itself. this site has a detailed walkthrough on steps you can take to remedy this.

A last resort scenario (and one I prefer myself) is to wipe my hard drive and do a full reinstall but this is not always a good idea if you do not have the experience to quickly reassemble your system to your preferred state.

I have webroot anti-virus and it consistently is being turned off after I get on the internet. Is it likely malware or a virus causing this? Actually, it is the firewall that is being turned off.

Chances are it's a virus or malware. Download an anti-virus program to a disk or to a flash drive. Run it and see if you can find a virus. Here's a link to one of the best anti-virus progams. (In my opinion)
Hope you solve the problem. You might also try Malwarebytes

Use a good anti-virus software. There are many free ones, like the very popular AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. Also, the Avast! Home Edition and Windows Defender are great. You can also try the Microsoft Windows Maliculous Software Removal Tool.

The downloads are available at CNET and the last one is a special program available only at the Microsoft Download Center. It has to be downloaded, used and then removed from the PC. It is updated every month, so you need to make sure that you use it every month after downloading from the site.

To prevent damage, later on you must have backups of the files on your PC, either on hard disks or DVDs. You can use a back-up software like the preloaded Windows Backup and Restore Center available in Windows Vista. You can also copy your important software and data manually onto these media.

Don't backup now, or you are going to backup the virus too (if it is really there) and waste your time. Remember, the virus cannot do anything while the computer is switched off.

first if possible update the virus definitions, second, go into safe mode by pressing F8 right before your computer starts to boot up, choose safe mode. third, do a full scan of your whole system. this should eliminate the virus. make sure though you do it in safe mode. hope this helps you.
