Question about Panasonic SC-HT70 System

Panasonic SC-HT70 Home Theatre - No sound on front right speaker

I have an issue with the front right speaker on this system in that it quite simply no longer produces sound. I have changed speakers and confimed it is not a speaker problem but rather a problem with the source. I have read the manual and played around with the Speaker Level Adjustments and Test but I get no sound at all from this channel any more.
Being 7 years old I can't really complain. Is this an easy fix or is it time to upgrade?

Normally this is a failure of the output amp section which is a single amp-pac. This part is available using the part number: RSN311W64D-P for about $95.20 and can be easily changed by anyone with audio repair experience. Add in your local repair labor rate for the total repair cost.

Try differnt speakers, if they do not produce sound, amp channels may be blown and then you need to take it to a shop.

Bought a LG Blu ray DVD Home theater system last weekend and set up with LG lcd tv and has been working fine till today. We had the radio on and I turned the TV on and the two rear speakers do not work...

In a surround sound system, the correct way to listen to music is in stereo mode which will play out of your left and right channels and your subwoofer. When viewing a movie with surround sound, then you should use your rear speakers. The key element to remember is that rear speakers are only intended to play your sound effects, and will not play full range audio. Thats what your fronts and center are for. If you simply want to override this, than you will need to select the direct sound field on your receiver and than it will send full range audio to all speakers connected. Most likely, its not going to sound that good. If you dont know what each sound field does, here is a list and function of the most commonly used ones.
Stereo-Front Left and Right speakers including subwoofer
Dolby Digital or PLII Movie-these are the bost options for your surround sound
Direct-All speakers connected get full range signal
Good Luck

Yamaha RX-V365 Receiver, Yamaha NS-AP2600S(BL) Speakers

Make sure the speaker select switch is on "A or B or AB. It's a small button on the front panel of the receiver (pen sized) and will give you visual feedback on the LCD display. If they are on, you need to have the unit bench tested at an audio shop and possibly repaired. Hope this helps

No sound from one speaker

if you have used the same cable to plug it in a different port, then i would say it is not the cable. it's more of a port issue or it's just that the sound card does not send a signal to that channel anymore. try using your unit on other sound systems and see if you get the same result. or you can set your pc to run on 2 channel mode only to test if the two speakers (L front and L rear, in this example) can produce the sound on the left channel (you do the same for the right, obvioulsy). if that still exibits the same symptoms, then it is definitely a port issue.

hope that helps :)

No sound/test tone front front right channel

1-make a reset to your system.2-repeat your speaker setup.3-confirm that you assign your sysem for 5 chanell surround system.-4-change the cables between left and right front speakers if the trouble go to left channel you will have a problem in receiver itself-if the problem exict you will have a problem in speaker itself(cable or speaker)
