Question about Daewoo L700C 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Power Failure A couple of days ago, my monitor refused to turn turn on and the green power indicator light flitted off/on. After rebooting the computer, it did turn on. However, since that time, lines of "interference" seemed to occur during the boot process (only on the Windows XP boot screen) but not during normal operation. Today, it refuses to turn on at all. I've connected another monitor to the cpu which seems to be working fine. If I simply replace the power cord, is that the most likely source? I don't see any bent pins or connections, and I'm not sure how to check the fuse.

Re: Power Failure

If you mean the Monitor is powered by an external power supply Then that indeed is an option worth trying Simply get a multiple voltage one and set it to the voltage of the existing one. There may be internal problems such as the inverter But this will be a repair shop job.

My westinghouse LCD LCM22w3 is not turning on. The switch light will turn on for a few seconds but then turns off. I have no imput signal

This is a very common problem with the LCM-22W3 monitors. The problem is caused by a failure of the filter capacitors in the power supply board. Here is a link to a repair guide that shows how to open the unit and what to look for and replace to repair the monitor. This is a very easy repair.

Won't turn on

This is a problem with either the power supply or or logic circuit. It could also be caused by a failure in the back light circuits. One of these problems has caused the power supply to go into protection mode and will not turn on due to bad voltages sensed in the feedback circuits. Return to dealer for service. Hope this helps you .
