Question about Sharp Viewcam VL-AH30U Camcorder
Using Windows 7-64bit. All named programs succeed with audio, but show vague 'squigles' or green screen with video. Also tried to hook Sharp up through Digital Sony Camcorder 5DCR-TRV11 to Windows Movie maker. Same, no video, OK audio; Analog Recordings were made with NTSC camcorder and the camcorders now being used are also NTSC. Again note that the video + audio played on the screen of the Sharp Viewcam could not be more perfect.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

To transfer video you need to use firewire, not usb. If you use firewire to connect, set the camera to the 'play' icon and then open up a capture program (ie, movie maker) you should be able to just record/capture from there. Good luck!

SOURCE: We have a Sharp Digital
You can use the windows formatting software that is on the pc, you need a memory card reader and once the computer sees the memory card after you insert it just right click on the card and choose format. I hope this helps.
