Question about Teac Audio Players & Recorders

2 Answers

I put my TEAC CR-H100 away about two years ago when re-decorating the kitchen - it was working fine. When I came to re-connect it recently the CD tray just wouldn't open. There isn't even any sound of a relay or motor trying to open it. the system has been stored in a warm dry place on top of a wardrobe. Any ideas?

Hi
CD drives have rubber belts and wheels - if it used for a long time and you told that the system has been stored in a warm dry place on top of a wardrobe , perhaps these are worn out. A new CD belt will fix the problem.....

here is another solution their is an tiny hole in the cd tray.. f their is... u insert a pin that cn fit to it you estimate the pin head is... while pushing the eject button. or you want to open your cd-drive without the button on the drive you could try this:

get a peperclip make sure it's a straight line.
then somewhere on the drive you will see a tiny hole just alrge enough for you paperclip to pass through.
then you just have to puss a little and voila it opens.

In order to close it I followed these steps:

    1. Remove drive and then cover (this will usually make the warrenty void)

    2. check that all the gears are not jammed (you may be able to move the tray a little and see the gears turn.

    3. If you look to the left on the underside of the tray there should be two flanges that snake in parallel with the front of the drive near the end of the tray. Now look into the drive to the left and under the tray and look for a lever connected to the component that moves the disc motor and laser up into position. This lever should run inbetween the flanges on the tray.

    4. If this is the case then you have to remove the tray from the drive. (mine had two teath stopping it but they can be pushed back with a screw driver)

    5. move the lever into position so when you slide the tray back in it goes in the slot on the tray.

    6. Assemble the case and test the drive!

Notes: you may have to remove the plate with the disc motor on to get the tray out or force the tray out while holding the plate down. The gears don't need to be aligned and the band to the tray motor doesn't need to be taken off.

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button while you turn on the unit. If this doesnot work
then it is a mechanically problem in your player .

You need to manually open to take out the cd.

The rubber thread which should be connected to the motor inside the cd player might have moved from its place.

You need to place the rubber thread to proper place.

Also if the belt is slipping, the mech never gets the "drawer closed" signal, and the disk will not spin.

If it has aux or audio input then yes, you will still need the docking station to the type of inputs that are available on the Teac. It should all be line level.

If the freezer temperature is freezing or below, as it should be, you should be getting ice. I would place a thermometer in the freezer to check the temperature. It would take a while for your frozen good to thaw out in a 33 degree freezer, but ice would not form in your icemaker at that temperature. Set your temperature lower after checking.

My cd rom tray will not eject and the light is

have you manually tried to eject the disc tray? There's a little hole on there somewhere, stick an unbent paperclip or safety pin in it and push until the tray starts to come out, then pull the tray out with your fingers.

Once you've done that, push the button to allow the tray to automatically retract.

I have a Teac D250 CD recorder it used to use TDK XA80 CD-R discs these are off the market and no other disc seems to work . It displays D-Unclock when I try . Is there a code to unlock this so that I can...

You have to look for input selection and make sure whatever way your recording from is connected. If you doing digital to digital, make sure the optical line is connected and the other is powered on. if it's analog or input or other also the same. I think it needs to recognize the other device. This is info from my teac rw d200. I love this and also use these disc's and maybe they would work on yours. The CD's MUST be made for Audio Burners and I recommend these two kinds...The label below MUST be printed on the CD's in order to work.

These resceivers have a bulit-in device to retain some electricity to feed backup memory. It can be a battery or a capacitor and I think they have reached their time to be replaced.
