Looking for a dimmer knob number c299 - Electrical Supplies

Remove the knob and spray WD40 into the stem and it will free it up. I do this periodically. Or you can still buy them, they are made by Lutron. I have two of them.

Turn the dimmer up its in ur head light knob turn the knob to left or right if not its a switcn by ur head light knob looks like ur vent switches7

You can get the knobs separately if you look. First check if the knob was a half circle or a serrated style, i think the replacements have an adapter to fit either style.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time trying to hunt it down yourself. Call the tech support number at 1-800-523-9466. First of all, they're there 24/7. If its the wrong size knob then it sounds like you just need some help matching up model numbers. If you can find the model number on the dimmer itself, that will help - but call them up and they'll probably just send you the parts you need.

Please locate the dimmer module.
I attached a picture below.
Carefully turn the round knob from left to right. Move the knob from the extreme left to right few times.
Check the operation of the trunk opener,gas door open and timer delay to rule out a disconnected cable (common cable or ground)
A good dimmer should operate smoothly on its entire range.
I recommend you to pass a vacuum cleaner around the dial to remove any dust and dirt.

Be sure to check all fuse and corrosion around the fuse holder.
If all else fail then the GM part number for your dimmer module is 10008706 K4.
If you shop around you can get a used dimmer for under $30.

Hello .. you should be able to find a replacement for your fan control at any building supply store, a home depot type store. Look or ask for a variable speed fan control. This is slightly different from a normal liight dimmer . You might also look for a replacement knob before replacing the whole switch, or matbe getting a replacement just to replace the knob ..

probably the plastic knob is stripped out. pull it off and see if you can turn the dimmer by hand.. if so get a new knob.

Try the hardware store. Look at the dimmer knobs.
