Question about LG Televison & Video
There is no colour on any of the channels
Double check the hookup and also hook a dvd up to see if that works or not.

Make sure that the color control level is set to the default or 50% to start with. This should be in the Video menu.
The colour for the tuner and for the encoded base-band video uses a circuit area called the colour demodulator. It is possible that this cirucuit area has failed and needs servicing.

Hi, go into your menu and turn off closed captioning, sometimes listed as "CC" instead of spelled out "closed captioning", this will fix ya, Happy Holidays, BMW Rider

My sister-in-law has exactly the same problem and is a common one with this unit.
I've spoken to a technician who says that:
1. Hitachi are withdrawing from Australia and there are VERY limited service centres left
2. The problem is a chip on the main board and depending when the TV was made will determine whether the chip is a plu-in or soldered on to the main board - if it's the latter, you'll be up for a main board at around $400
3. He couldn't get the price of the plug-in chip because he couldn't get through to Hitachi.

I had the same problem when I connected my new At&T cable to the tv card in my PC. I did a little internet research and found out that the problem is called "video buzz". It is where the video signal bleeds into the audio signal. I was connect via coax to the cable box. I was able to fix it on my system by "fine tuning" channel three (my TV card has this capablility). Your system may or may not have this feature. If you are connecting using the A/V input it may be something else.
