Codes F4 and E4 on whirlpool electric dryer

I got the same code and after turning the breaker on and off the code went away, but then my dryer would tumble but wouldn't heat. So I took my dryer to an appliance repair shop ( they didn't know what that code meant either) and they told me my dryer was working fine. They told me it could be one of the breakers (2 pole 30 amp breaker) so I replaced my breaker and that fixed my problem. So if you're getting this code that's probably what it is, you have a bad breaker.

My whirlpool dryer was working fine then I heard a pop noise then dryer shut off

it sounds to me like a wire came loose and shorted out or popped fuse!!! Check your breaker box and if the breaker is not blowed or flipped, then you probably need to replace the dryer fuse!!!

Whirlpool electric dryer will not run. breakers

It's more than likely either the thermal fuse, or the door switch.

Whirlpool dryer, tripping breaker. Dryer spins but no heat.

If it's tripping your home breaker. You most likely have a bad element. It could also be a loose wire but I would not thing so. You can remove the element and check it. You will most likely find the element is broken and touches the plate when it starts running, shorting the dryer and tripping the breaker. Good luck!

LER4634E WHIRLPOOL FRONTLOAD ELECTRIC DRYER WORKED GREAT

If you have a access to an AC voltmeter, measure the two slanted connections in the wall socket for ~220 volts. If near zero, measure at the load side of the dual breakers for the same voltage. If still at or near zero, one of the breakers has gone south. Replace the pair of breakers.
If you measured 220 volts as above, then the problem is within the dryer--probably a burned out heating element or open thermal fuse. Major tear-down to find and fix as the heating element is behind the drum.

Dryer will not heat and will not turn off at the end of the cycle

I had the same problem with my whirlpool LER5636. It was a power problem. My circuit breaker was fried (one side delivered 120v the other 26v). The dryer itself was fine. Check the breaker, the dryer outlet, and the connections where the dryer cord enters the dryer.
I replaced the breaker and all was well.
Good Luck.

Whirlpool dryer stops after 5 minutes

Locate the circuit breaker for the dryer. Run the dryer for awhile and with the back of your finger pressed against each of the two switches (it will be a double breaker), see if the breaker is getting warm or wait until the dryer quits then check the breaker for any noticeable increase in temperature. With properly rated breakers, they should not get warm. If getting warm, it is a sign the breaker is bad and should be replaced.

Whirlpool electric dryer keeps tripping main circuit breaker

First off, be sure the pigtail is wired correctly to the back of the unit. Black and red to the outside terminals, white to the middle, green to the frame or cabinet (should be a green screw close-by). If that is ok, you probably have an issue with possibly a bad pigtail, bad outlet, wiring issue, or possibly a bad circuit breaker or breaker box. Probably going to be more of a electrical problem than a appliance problem. Good Luck!!!!
