Popping noise like popcorn constant n sporadic. No patern. Sounds like in the mid right side of car next to windshield. noticed it happens after 30 mph stops when slow Down. 2007 Nissan Altima

Check all your mirrors for looseness and all of the weather stripping, in doors, windshield etc. It is probably something loose. Also check your tire pressure and check with your local Nissan dealership service center to make sure your vehicle has had all of the recalls fixed. This particular vehicle has several. Recalls are fixed by the dealership for free. Have your VIN number ready when you call.

What is causing clicking noise in front end?

Check the backside Of your tire. I drive an 89' f-150, and had a very similar noise. Turns out I had a rock jammed in my rotor and it was hitting the caliper every time the wheel made a rotation. I ultimately had to use a crowbar to pry the rock out. The other thing you could, and should, check is your brakes on that side. Check break pads, rotor condition, and confirm that your caliper is not worn out. I would also suggest checking your lockout hub. It could very well be that your lockout is worn out, and catching just a little bit, even though it is supposedly unlocked and disengaged. While your down there, check the joints of your front axle to check for any slop or play in them. Replace as needed.

Front is making noise when I turn

Kim:

Check your wheel bearings and ball joints. Checking the wheel bearings: stand next to the front tire, crouch down, put your hands on the top of the tire, and try to rock the top of the tire by pushing the top of the tire away from you and pulling the top of the tire toward you (rock it hard and fast). do both front tires. Any noise or sideways movement of the tire is bad, (Bearings are worn) and needs to be repaired. Then, stand at the front corner of the car, and push down on the front corner of the car repeatedly (rocking the corner of the car up and down (Rock it up and down Hard) If you hear the popping noise your ball joints need to be replaced. If these tests don't work but you still get the popping noise when you drive, take the car to a mechanic. Popping noises from the front end of a car is dangerous. If anything happens up there, you could lose your steering!

2005 BMW X3 CLICKING NOISE

It sounds like you have a rock or something stuck in the tread of one of your tires. Take a look and see if you find anything, then dig it out with a key. If it looks like something punctured the tire (it could be a nail in the tire) don't take it out (the tire will deflate) , take it to a tire shop and get it fixed.
