Dear friends, i am also getting this During the startup I get 2 beeps, first one on the Intel logo screen , and then another slightly longer beep right before Windows loading screen  i need help!  my pc config:  mobop45sg  processor:core 2 quad q9550 2.83ghz  graphics:xfx geforce 9600 gt  power:600watt cooler master (sli ready)  ram:transcend ddr3 / 1333mhz / (9-9-9) 2GB+2GB(total 4gb)  all 3d games crashes with start, checked all cables, updated graphics drivers, updated chipset, bios,xp updates-nothing helped me still crashing,,no problm found with wathching dvds, touching photos, encoding large files but only problem is graphics.  i checked xfx geforce 9600 gt with my old pc ,it is running fine there.no problem with hard disks all running fine.crashes continues in both xp sp3 32bit and vista sp1 ultimate 32 bit.  i asked intel support, they replayed that it should be ram that creating problems, they also said that to check with different ram.  please tell me whether transcend ddr3 1333mhz is creating problems,or any thing else creating this error.

Try running a memmory test on your memmory. I use "Hiren's Boot Disk" to run these kinds of checks. If your RAM has any problems, it will show it.

Also, does the game crash and return you to your desktop? Or does the PC reboot? Or does it Blue Screen?

It also "might" be incompatability?

There's a sound during startup

Hello,

There is no problem with your computer. It's just natural to have a beeping sound during start up. If there is, then it will show an error message in the screen.

If it's just a short beep, then it's normal.

Screen went blank, have yellow indicator on monitor, try to reboot, getting three beeps, nothing more.

One beep during startup is "good", but THREE is not good.

Three beeps means a hardware fault -- probably that the video-adapter on your computer has failed.

Connect the monitor to another desktop/laptop, to confirm that it still works.

Turn the computer off, and disconnect the power-cord.
Remove all the RAM, and then re-insert just one stick.
Reconnect the power, and try to boot.
If you still get THREE beeps, turn it off.
Disconnect the power-cord, and reinsert the remaining RAM sticks.

If you still have the problem, then it's time to replace the video-card on your computer. Take the computer to a computer-store, so that they can sell you a video-card that will be compatible with your motherboard.
Hopefully, if you buy the video-card from them, they will install it for a modest fee -- ask them.

My computer is beeping at me during startup, and will not go past the load screen.... dell b110

The POWER LED on the front of the tower should be solid Green, If Solid Amber or Flashing Amber, there is either a power or MB problem. On the back of the tower are 4 LEDs the when posting normally are all Green. If YYGG for example, then you have a memory failure. 2 beeps & nothing on the screen

Hi Tom,

Please verify the capacity and how many memory modules you have in the system?

If your system won't turn on and get 2 beeping sounds. It is an issue with your memory (RAM) you may need to reseat the memory card. After reseating the memory card (RAM) and the issue persist and i suggest to check also the warranty of your system from your coomputer manufacturer for part replacement.

keep me posted.

regards,

Jeff
