Dryer wont come on

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Power From The House

Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

Door Switch

If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed. If not replace the door switch.

Thermal Fuse / Thermal Cut out

On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel or behind the front panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing or is sometimes round and made of metal and plastic.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse this is the most common reason for blowing the fuse. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. In this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.

Main Control

The main control board may have failed. To check this check the two main feed leads entering the control refer to the tech sheet located on your dryer. The two leads are usually a separate plug of heavy wire. Check to see if power is entering you should have 120 volts. If not the problem is not the control. If you have power coming in and nothing is illuminated the main control will need to be replaced or the Timer will need replacing.

No lights in the temperature control panel. I disconnected for ten minutes to try anda reboot but still njo lights. Frig seems to still be running. What to do now?

If it is cooling fine what the problem is,is a low voltage transformer that is part of the MAIN control board has gone out and not powering the display. The only fix for that is to replace the main control board. Be sure to note the part that is bad is part of the main board and not the display board.

Frig has suddenly become warmer than usual. Freezer is at 20 degrees and frig at 60. Tried to vacuum coils but very dificult to reach them underneath the unit. Any other hints?

what the problem most likely is a failed part of the defrost system Do you see a bunch of frost built up on the back wall of the freezer? If you do frost build up, take off the back wall of the freezer and replace the defrost heater and defrost thermostat. A hair dryer could be used to melt the built up frost from the coil behind the back wall. Another part that will cause frost build up is the defrost control, that isn't the freezer behind the back wall but instead it is part of the main computer board on the back of the refrig. I would replace heater/defrost thermostat first though, since they are the most likely to fail parts.

I hope my answer will help you to fix your refrigerator,

Refrigerator temperature control panel not lit. This happened last week but corrected itself....not sure how....but now display panel is off for good, it seems. Main Refrigerator lights are still working,...

Your Refrigerator Has a main controlboard located in the rear of the machine. This Controlboard sends power and reads the user information. if your user display (Temp Control panel) is not working it can only be 2 things The user display or the main controlboard.

As far a the refrigerator working without it, I would not trust it.

The clicking noise is a relay on the main control.
Usualy when I here this relay go on and off rapidly, there is a problem whith the main controlboard.

The big problem with this is why did the main control go out ? some other componet on the refrigerator could be the cause. A comon cause in the past has been the evaperator fan motor.
