Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
I've had my HP Pavilion dv 1000 and it was working fine but now, it won't go into stad by, restart or turn off, the blue screen that says 'windows is shutting down' stays there and I can hear the fan running. Also, if I close the lid or if I leave my lap top for a few minutes, the screen goes dark but everything else is running and the lights are still on. I have to press the power button in order to shut it off in either of the cases. Please help me, I am very frustrated with this.
I had this kinda problem solved on a Acer 5920 LAptop. The webcam driver was the culprit. Remove the cam driver for the same, the windows driver will take over and then i guess it will work fine. I figure its a driver issue or a TSR program not quitting. If this fails try uninstalling recently addes program or driver.
