Faulty hob rings belling 627wh

Both of the larger rings are either on full or off. Is this due to faulty rheosts or the rings themselves? If so how easy is to replace them??

SOURCE: Replacing faulty regulator for hotplate

Remove hotplate and oven control knobs. Under the 2nd and 5th knobs is an extra screw which holds on the front cover. Unscrew these and free the cover then access is gained to the screws (2 on each edge) which removes the plate to which the regulators are fixed.Remove the faulty regulator by unscrewing it from the plate,(2 screws) It is an easy job then to install the new part taking care to put the correct wires on the correct terminals. Reassemble, job done!

Zanussi induction hob. Hot warning light remains on permanently for one ring. Tried power on/ off- no good.

Unfortunately this is not a user fixable issue,it is caused by a faulty temperature sensor, which needs replacement.

One of the rings comes on when the hob is even turned off any idea why this is???

This would normally mean that the hotplate controller if faulty. It is not a common occurrence but it does happen.

Hob problems

Hello,
Take a closer look at the wiring diagram on the base or in the book.Check you have put in the relevant links. If not wired properly you may only get half the hob working.

Hope this helps.

Neff T1722SO Ceramic Hob - rings don't heat

Check the power supply to make sure it is getting 220V, the lights etc might still work if only getting 120V but burner won't without full power supply.

Burner/Flame

Hiya .. this could be due to a number of problems...... has the burner ever worked correctly?
Is the behaviour with only one ring?
1. If not... then it could be that the pipework to the hob itself has not been recuced sufficiently enough in pipe diameter to the regulator far enough back ...
2.The regulator is faulty... in which case it can be replaced... however consider the cost of a new regulator and labour to fix it .. against the cost of a whole new hob... which should include a regulator. Is the hob still under warranty... if so use that .. but you will normally have to provide some proof it has been fitted by someone suitably qualified.
3.the regulator may never have been fitted, which is dangerous and bad practice.

Either of these scenarios... please ensure that you use a suitably qualified gas engineeer... I dont wish to be alarmist... but gas leaks and faulty gas appliances do cause unnecessary deaths...and is a silent killer.
