I'd venture a guess and say you're clicking Don't automatically search-> I'll choose the location->and seeing a list of manufacturers. Right?

  • Hi Rumisingh

1.) Whenever you get so many option of driver to choose you must always select the latest version ie:
    ver 1.003 rather than 1.001.

    2) Select compability with your operating system such as XP, ME, Vista ETC

But you did not specified detail on your problem, the probably is too wide to understand, please give us more information such as
a.) what driver you want to instal?
    b) what os (windows) you are? XP? ME? Vista?
    c) where did you found the driver and is it setup.exe or you choose manually from cd?

I would say check and see thru your Device Manager what audio chipset your mainboard has. Depending on the Operating System, most of the time you can just remove it from device manager by right clicking on the specific audio device and left click uninstall.(Win Vista,7,8 may give you the option to uninstall the driver... This box is unchecked and it does NOT need to be checked as, you are trying to re-install the driver.) After the uninstall is done right click on any other hardware and select scan computer for hardware changes. It SHOULD find your chipset and re-install the driver. Please note if it asks for ANY file to complete installation then your driver is corrupt and you will need to download an updated driver.

IF everything re-installs and you still do not have sound, try bringing up your sound options and make sure that your Wave and PC sound aren't muted or turned all the way down. Hope this helps.

Am trying to download drivers onto a disk for my dell D600. When the download option comes up I click download but instead of getting the option of where to save it just gives me istall or don't install....

Hello,

Drivers are automatically downloaded to the root file so they will go to your c drive. Once the download is complete, the system will take control of which drivers are newest and most suitable for your needs. As long as you are installing from Dell's site, you are OK.

Good Luck

I'nm trying to install an HP Officejet 4300 driver

  1. Remove your previous installation of that printer. Delete the printer icon in the Printer's folder if there exists.
  2. Reinstall the printer. During installation, choose Custom Install if there is an option like that.
  3. Then choose to install ONLY the printer DRIVERS and do not install the HP Software bundled with the printer. The HP Imaging software conflicts with screen resolution of some devices. Give it a try and see if you can use your printer installed that way.

When trying to install windows 7, the installation program cannot detect my hard disk?

You will need to install the drivers specific to your hard disk during the installation process. When the install pauses and gives you the option to install any device drivers, select the option to browse to the location, install the hard disk device drivers and continue with the install.

You MAY run into the problem that there are no device drivers for your specific hard drive for Windows 7 yet. If you don't already have them or can't find them on Samsung's site, try giving a call or email to their support staff and see if they have one they can provide you that will work under Win-7.

My advent 5431 laptop windows vista setup hangs

often in vista installation, you have an option to install a driver, and then you put your driver disk in the drive and the Sata driver is installed. Then vista will install as it should . Give it a try..

Hibernate option missing

This is because the motherboard driver is not installed. Once you reload OS, you need to install these drivers. this will give you a better performance also.

Use the HP link below to install drivers.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=in&product=1817074&lang=en

this link contains all drivers, install the Nforce driver first, then check if you need the other drivers, if required then go for it

My ''Maxdata'' laptop when all wrong and wouldnt start....

hi,
when you pickup the reinstall option in the device manager you should select the cd/dvd option and then put in the driver cd/dvd so that it can search on its own for the required driver and install it as exclamation sign comes in when there is some hardware conflict or driver not installed properly.

Further Queries are welcome

I can't hear any sound

Thats the wrong Drivers. Remove your Sound Drivers and Install this one: "SigmaTelTM STAC9767 AC-97 v.2.1" In Bios also set to Default settings, Release IRQ Settings. this should help with the Blue Screen. If you have problems uninstalling sound drivers check if you have an option to temp dissable sound chip in Bios. Hope this helps. More tips at www.powerjackrepair.com
