Regarding the Pioneer VSX-912 blinking standby light. This is how you reset it; press the "advanced surround" and the " enter" at the same time for about 3 seconds. Make sure you press the ENTER on the reciever (its the one on top next to the small dial) If you press the "ON" instead of "ENTER" it will not work. If an error message comes on and shuts the unit down, just reset it again. This should save you some $$$$. To bad Pioneer did't put this info in the manual.

I have such problem too. Blinking standby and if I press any button, the only reaction is blink stops for 2-3 seconds and after that starts again. Tried to disconnect from AC for 1-2 days. No effect. Sadly warranty ended just 2 months ago :(

Media receiver "on" button flashes 8 times and turns the Pioneer TV to standby.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Power light blinking on nv53a gateway

Your Gateway laptop comes with a series of LED lights that alert you to the state of your computer. You'll notice there are blue, purple and red lights that either blink or display solidly. Each light, blinking or solid, has a different meaning. The blue blinking light on your laptop indicates that it is in Standby mode. Your laptop goes into Standby when you close its lid without shutting down the computer. To turn this light off, you'll need to take the computer out of Standby mode, and if you want to ensure that the blinking blue light does not return, shut down the computer after each use.

Open the lid of your Gateway laptop and press the power button. Once Windows loads, enter your password if required. The blue light will no longer be blinking because the computer is no longer in Standby mode. Shut the laptop off when you finish using it rather than simply closing the lid to stop the blue light from blinking again. Click "Start" from your Windows desktop and click "Shut down." Change your computer's power settings to keep if from going into Standby mode when you close the lid if you'd rather not shut down your computer every time you use it. Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Click "System and Security" and then click "Power Options." Click "Choose what closing the lid does" from the list of options on the left side of the window. Select "Hibernate" from the drop-down lists under "On Battery" and "Plugged In." Click "Save Changes." Your laptop will now bypass Standby mode when you close the lid and it will enter Hibernate mode instead. Hope it helps.

Sr576 standby light blinking

Most likely, you have DC Offset(a bad amplifier). The unit is shutting down to protect your speaker system, as well as protect the unit from any further damage. If you require more assistance, or would like to inquire about repairing your Onkyo, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

Receiver keeps turning on and off also the standby mode blinks

The receiver is going into "protect" mode. This means that a problem has been detected and the unit shut down to prevent further damage. Without seeing the unit and taking some internal measurements, it is difficult to provide a complete solution. Typically, the output transistors fail which can cause this. There are other possibilities too. I would suggest that you get a detailed repair estimate from a local shop. With that information, we may be able to walk you through the actual repair.

Sony kds-r50xbr1 turns itself off and then green light blinks 52

I too have a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 tv and the issue that you are experiencing is due to one of your fans in the rear of the tv is not working.  The tv automatically shuts off in protective mode.  Make sure the POWER/STANDBY light is blinking and not the lamp light below it.  Is the power/standby blinking 4 times in red? If, yes then its a fan that needs to be replaced.  If its the lamp light blinking then you need to replace the lamp.  The lamp is easy to replace by ordering the lamp either from Sony for $250 or find it cheaper for approx. $150 from other DLP sources and replace youself by following your manual.  I hope this helps you.

Denon AVR-4800 5.1Channel Standby light blinking

It's going into protect. Unhook ALL the speakers and see if it still shuts itself off. If so, then it will have to be taken in for service.
