(Yeah I agree yanntir. Ubuntu) Suggest you use the computer you are using now, and copy the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (CNET)  to a CD disk. (CD-R) Then turn on the affected computer, and put the disk in the optical drive tray. Install Malwarebytes, then run. (-> Full Scan) When finished go to System Restore, and TURN IT OFF. System Restore also restores the malware. (Bad stuff) Run Malwarebytes one more time. Then go back to System Restore, turn it back on, and create a Restore Point. For guidance post back in a Comment. My internet explor has blocked pages from certain wesites how do i fix?

Depending on the way that the Internet Explorer Web browser's "Security" settings are configured, the browser may be blocking your access from certain pages.

The browser itself (based on information from Microsoft) may have deemed these pages insecure and dangerous, or you may have accidentally blocked the page yourself.

You can stop Internet Explorer from blocking websites by going through the program's "Security" settings page.

Open Internet Explorer.

Click "Tools."

Click "Internet Options."

Click "Security."

Click on the "Restricted Sites" icon and then the "Sites" button.

Click on the name of the website that you do not want blocked anymore, from the list of restricted sites.

Click "Remove." Click "OK" to save your changes and Internet Explorer will no longer be blocking that specific website.

Hope this helps

I have internet explorer 8 on my computer. i have check the box in properties to add the ie icon on the desktop. it is not a shortcut. the icon changed to a old ie6 icon from shell32.dll. i tried...

Hi fitfit759, assuming you have Windows XP. What you can do is go to My Computer - Local Disk (C:) - Program Files = Internet Explorer and with "right click" drag the iexplorer.exe icon to your desktop and then when you release the mouse it's going to ask you whether copy, move or create a shorcut. Click on create a shortcut and that's it.
It's a little strange because if you installed internet explorer with NO errors, you shouldnt have that problem. Please dont forget to rate and give positive feedback for our free support today. Thank you :D
