Question about Tomtom Go Plus GPS Receiver
My TomTom Go 510 will not switch on. The green light comes on when you press the start button, but then nothing happens. I've tried pressing the, well hidden reset button. I believe this is a common problem, but no one appears to have a solution.
I have in my possesion 2 Tom Tom 510s both with exactly the same problem, one was used with the incorrect (Nokia) cigar lighter charger the other suffered a Voltage spike from the vehicle it was used.
Both the input transitors have blown and as they are so small they are virtually impossible to re solder. However there is a Guy on eBay who for £80 will repair it.
I bought a different system, £70 and although basic does what it says on the tin.
Sorry to bring bad tidings,
