I have replaced everything that would normally cause this problem, down to so basically only the body isthe original and trigger system, still wont come back, it will shoot a nail then come back with about a 1/4" still left and the next nail isnt able to get into place.

You didnt mention a model number, however, here are some things to check. With nails removed and air hose disconnected, push the driver up manually with rod. The driver should not be hard to push back into place (Like pushing a cup of coffee with finger). If hard to push, check for oring too tight or bent driver. If easy to push and driver moves when you point nose of gun up then down, oring too loose. If driver seems ok, suspect check-band. Most nailers have a check band around the outside of the cylinder. The band could be an oring or a wide piece of rubber. Under the band are a series of holes. These vent holes need to be clean and the band needs to fit snuggly covering the holes. If band is ok, air is leaking down the nose of the gun when the piston is trying to move up the cylinder. Make a seal out of old bike tube or thin rubber to be placed under the bumper. Cut small hole for the driver to pass thru. This seal will prevent too much air from coming out of nose of gun when air is pushing driver up. If air is not escaping thru nose then suspect obstruction in the head area preventing discharge air to quickly exit the gun allowing the piston to reach top. Good luck

SOURCE: nail gun will not shoot

Not all 120psi air supplies are the same. Here are some differences. The pressure regulator has a great deal of effect on the performance of the air tool. Regulators are sold by the volume of air (cfm)that they can handle. The more cfm the larger the pipe fittings on the regulator. A 1/4 fitting regulator will restrict the air somewhat compared to a 3/8. Another difference is weather moisture is present in the air. Moisture will temporarily help seal the orings, however too much water in gun will cut the orings. The air hose and fittings will also stifle performance. Long small diameter hose will lower pressure at the gun. This can be measured by installing a guage on a T fitting on the end of the hose and watch the pressure as you fire the gun. Larger fittings and hose ID will improve performance. Finally, your nail gun should work on both compressors. To make your nailgun work at home, (assuming that there are no air leaks) lube the headvalve parts with silicone grease. (sold at lowes in plumbing dept) For best performance, replace the orings in the head valve, examine the plastic parts where the orings contact and look for wear and tiny scratches (use magnify lense). Replace these worn parts along with orings. Replace the head gasket and make sure that the body and the head-cap are not warped. Place sheet of fine sandpaper on flat surface, with cylinder removed rub the body of the gun on paper a few times to check for warp. Do same with cap. Parts are available at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Enjoy

SOURCE: Hitachi NR83A2 nailer pushes next nail down

Are you using full round head nails?

The hissing indicates your O-rings are worn out and need to be replaced. This is not covered by warrenty and is common for all nail guns. Lots of kits are available on Ebay or your local Hitachi service center should stock them.

Hope this helps,

Cheers

SOURCE: impulse gun wont fire and fan doesnt run

could be a bent probe not allowing full travel of the safety , fan motor, loose wire, or circuit assembly. If you are handy with tools, remove the battery and fuel cell. remove the 4 screws holding the cover on top of the cylinder assembly and down where the saety is remove the 2 screws there also. gently pull the cylinder off the tool. when you have apart check toe condition of the Oring on the top plate where the fan motor is. Now reinsert the battery and you will see a rocker switch towards the top, depress it and the fan motor should come on. if not try and depress the trigger switch and again the fan motor should come on. If neither start looking for loose or broken wires, if you find none then I would guess the terminal board would be bad. you can also remove the handle halves and look for a loose connection at the board itself, they sometimes wiggled loose where it plugs in. Good luck and let me know.

SOURCE: Paslode finish nailer. Pull trigger

Try the other order, where you depress the gun first, and then pull the trigger.

Can i use full round head 3-1/2 passlode nail in this nailer

The FC350A uses a 30- to 34-degree collated clipped head nail which is very similar to the Paslode 34-degree round head nail. Paslode's nails are unique because the round head nails collated very close together and the head of the nail is offset to the shaft unlike Porter Cable full round head are further apart and the head is centered on the nail. What does all this mean? The Paslode round head nail may work however the driver will deliver the blow off center to the shaft of the nail, This could cause the nail to bend as it enters hard wood and possibly jamb the gun. You should be able to exchange the nails (with small restock fee) at a major fastener store (not Lowes or etc. ) with out having purchased them at location because the Paslode nails are very popular and with todays economy the store will gain a new customer. If however you would like to try using the nails, try the following. Remove the head of the gun to expose the driver. Install the nails as usual and with **** of small hammer quickly and firmly push driver all the way down the cylinder to see if nail is easily pushed out of bottom of nose. (You can push driver back up with long thin screwdriver or allen) If successful, replace head and connect to air however lower pressure to 40-50 psi and nail into soft wood increassing the pressure little at a time with each test untill full pressure around 90-100psi. Good luck
