Hi this is only indicating a dirty waste toner bottle neck.
It is easy to solve.
Take a star screwdriver,remove the one screw of the left lower panel.You will find the panel at the left-lower side of the machine,the side were you have to open to remove paper jams on the fixing side of the machine.
After removing that panel,remove the bottle remove the toner inside the bottle clean the NECK of the bottle inside and outside and put the bottle back in it's place.Put the panel back and switch machine on and off.

What is the error code that is displayed? If it turns right off, hold the main power switch till the display screen display's the error code. Write it down and let the forum know what it is, it will help with a answer.
This is standard error code for Canon and the fuser unit. The error can be reset by being ready to go into service mode quickly. First press the additional function button, then the 2 & 8 keys at the same time and then the additional function key again. The display should change to the service mode screen, indicating " COPIER " and other accessories. Press " COPIER " then accross the top you should see a menu and select "FUNCTION" then select " CLEAR", then " ERR ", then " OK." This will clear the error from the copiers memory. Turn off the main power switch, wait a few seconds, then turn the copier back on. If you continue to have this error you will have to replace the fixing assembly and if it is similiar to the IRC3220 then you ahve only two screws to remove and the whole unit comes out. You will be saving a service call and I do believe the fuser is over $500. I usually don' tknow the prices of items until I have to do a quote for a customer. Good Luck.
This is error given by the thermistors in the fuser. Not detecting a temp change or too much temp difference between the thermistor ( front edge and Middle ). You can reset it by going into service mode. Press additional functions, then 2 and 8 at the same time, then additional functions. Press copier, then function at the top of the display, CLEAR, then ERR, then OK. Power down the copier using main power switch. Wait a few seconds then power up again. If the error continues then you will have to have the thermistors replaced if the heater is working. The heater should give an E000 code if not heating up.
I can help you clear the code. The code means that the fixing/fusing assembly has a problem. This assembly uses high heat and pressure to bond the toner to the paper as the paper passes thru. I'm sure you've noticed the warmth of a stack of copies when you pull them out. The temperature is monitored VERY closely for safety reasons and the slightest variation will cause the copier to give many different error codes depending on if the temperature is too high or too low or if the copier senses a sudden change either way. A power surge or any type or changes in the power in your building can also cause this so we may get lucky and reset the code and all will be well as it was just a momentary thing. Ok, locate the "additional functions button" located to the right of the display. In a fluid , 3 step process, press additional functions and release, now the numbers 2&8 at the same time and release, press additional functions again and realease. So thats a 1-2-3 fluid sequence. You may have to practice this a time or two.This will get you into service mode.When you have suceeded the display will have changed. You will see a menu and one of the items displayed will say COPIER. Select it. Now a new screen appears with many items. Look at the top of the screen and you will see several tabs,select FUNCTION. Now the main screen will have a bunch of **** on it but locate the CLEAR tab and select it.The screen will change again and display many things. Locate CLEAR and select it. The screen changes again. Locate ERR and select it. You have now told the copier that you want to clear the error. Now that ERR is highlighted press the OK button located at the lower right corner of the display. You have cleared the error but we need to power off the machine. Not by the power button on the operator control panel, but the main power switch located on the right side of the copier toward the rear about halfway down.If you cant find it you can just unplug the copier. Whichever method you use, wait a few seconds and power the copier back up. Now one of 3 things will occur.The copier will reboot, warm up, and the code will return.Or it will reboot and come to READY and when you start making copies the code will return. OR >>>>>>>> You get a READY and the copier works fine!!!! I hope that is the case. If the error returns you will need a tech to come out and replace the fixing assembly.I wish you the best. I only do this cuz I feel sorry for you. There is no UPSIDE 4 me as this error code could be "UNFIXYABLE" and I will be blamed for not being able to help you.As you see there is not a line of people trying to help. Ok, here goes, We need to enter service mode. Press the "additional functions button" and release,quickly press the 2 and 8 numbers at the same time,release, then additional functions again.You may need to practice this quick and fluid 3 step process. When you do it correctly the screen will change to service mode. Touch the "COPIER" tile you see in the display. Now you will see tabs across the top of the display.Touch "FUNCTION". Now within the main menu that populates the main screen select CLEAR. Now select ERR. Once it is highlighted press "OK" in the lower right corner of the screen. Now ,to make it easy, just turn off the main power, the "HARD" power switch.If in doubt just unplug the copier. I'm not being mean just efffective. Power the device back up and you WILL have reset the code. However if the problem still exists (and this code covers a range) the copier will "see" the original problem and code out again. But lets hope you're lucky and the copier reboots and recovers from it's either real or percieved problem. Yeah !!!!! for both of us. I wish you the best. I tried. SPINAL
Press 'Function Clear', 1, 0, 7, then press and hold 'Clear/Stop' button for 3 secands. Machine displays SP Mode. Now turn MAIN power switch off for 5 seconds. Turn MAIN power switch back on. This should reset SC 547 code. (Main power switch is located on the left side of the copier)
try to clear in service mode touch Additional funcion key then 2 8 at same time then additional func key again in that order screen should change to service mode then touch copier then function then clear then err then ok then turn off machine using main switch if it wont clear you have a bad fuser
Did you press additional funcation? You have to in order to get in to service mode. Then go to copier, then funcation, then CLR/ Clear, then ERR, the hit the OK on the display, then turn the main power switch OFF then back ON. It should reset the code, if not you have a problem with the fixing unit.
I will gladly try to help you, but please understand that E000 is a fuser error code and can either be an anomaly or if it is genuine the code will return almost immediately because of safety reasons( high temperature control ). Please forgive me if I over - explain things but I don't want to take it for granted that you are familiar with how to enter and navigate service mode, since that is indeed what you will have to do. To reset the code you wil have to enter service mode. To do that you will need to press the "ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS " button and then the numbers 2 and 8 at the same time, then press the "ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS" BUTTON again. A three step continuous flow procedure. Additional functions, 2&8 together,additional functions. This should bring you to a new screen that will have several new tabs not normally seen. One will say "COPIER". Press it. New screen again.The main screen will have several options but we will be using the "TABS" you can see across the top of the display. One of those tabs says "FUNCTION". Press it. New display again. Look in the main display and you will see an item that says "CLEAR". Press clear. New display again with a list of items that you can "clear". Press "ERR". Once you have done that, locate the "OK" tab at the lower right hand corner of the display and press it. You just reset the code. Now turn the copier off using the MAIN POWER SWITCH. If you are in doubt as to where it is located (not the button you see on the operator control panel) then unplug the machine for about 5 seconds. Then plug it back up. The copier will begin its warm up and self diagnostic check as it attempts to become"READY" again. Somewhere between the start up and making your 1st copy, the copier should display a similiar error code if the problem is genuine. If it was just a burp before then you may be ok. Fuser codes can be generated for several reasons other than a true problem. But if you do have a big problem, the copier will rather quickly display the error code again. At that point you will need service. I know for sure that I have provided you with exactly the information you requested, which was to reset the error code and I hope the reset is all you need to return to copier bliss.
