How can I select "Aux" on my old Philips car radio 22 DC 741

My philips 741 (22DC741/00) has a cd-changer input, I want to connect an aux cable to it but when I select CD player it says "no cd" because there is no cd-changer connected. Can I toggle it to aux somewhere? Model: http://djlj24.fm.interia.pl/caraudio/philips/img/dc741.jpg

SOURCE: i have a pioneer DEH-P3000

Hi nhmteam. I have the solution for you: 1. With your DEH-P3000 turned off, press your FUNCtion button. It's a tiny button towards the upper right of the faceplate. Hold it down until you "ALARM OFF" or "ALARM ON" on the display. Release the button. 2. Press the FUNCtion button again and you should see another feature. I don't remember how many features you need to cycle through, but keep releasing and pressing the FUNCtion button until you see "M-CD ON" on the display. If you miss it just keep going and eventually it will come back. 3. On the right side of your faceplate there is a button with 4 arrows. You will need to push the up or down arrow until the display reads "M-CD OFF". If your display already reads "M-CD OFF", kip to the next step. 4. Press and release the FUNCtion button again and you should see "AUX OFF" on the display. Again press the up or down arrow until the display reads "AUX ON". 5. Now, turn on your unit, then press the INPUT button until the display reads "AUX". You are now ready to use your iPod in the way you always did. Keep these instructions for the future since I believe every time you disconnect the unit from the battery the unit will reset itself and disable your iPod cord. Best regards - TomR

SOURCE: connect ipod to cd player wit built in aux input.

VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION FOR DEH-P5800MP!!!!!!

Turn unit off by holding the Source (volume knob) button until power is off.

Now, hold down the Function button (FUNC) until the unit turns on. You will now be in the Initial Settings menu, a special menu. Press the Function button (FUNC) again until you see the word AUX, press up to enable it, then press the Source (volume knob) button until you see AUX. It works now, congratulations.

How do i install my alpine cd changer to a kenwood mp528 unit

It is unclear which Alpine CD changer you have and what output connections are available from it.

However your Kenwood unit has Aux input terminals at the back. With appropriate cable connectors you should be able to hook the two up. In the Kenwood you will have to select AUX in menu when playing CD changer. Download user manual for Kenwood from this site.

How to use aux in facility in honda city zx vtec

It is an auxiliary input used to connect mp3 players, or anything that can connect with that type of cable, so you can play them through your car radio. All you do is determine the type of cord you need, (usually 1/8" phono plug), and connect it from your device to the radio. Then you tune the radio to the AUX input.

I have a p2500 and its great. Can I connect my red and white audio cord attached to my ipod to the red/white jacks on back of radio? then listen thru aux?

Those cables are for audio out only you need an IP Bus adapter to connect the AUX input. the CDRB20 or CDRB10 is what you need. the CDRB20 allows for more inputs as well such as CD changers, and XM radio tuners.

Connecting PC to the Philips HTS3455

Hum first,,, anytime you have 2 devices with sound running to a cable or ant equipted TV you will get a hum as they are grounded off curcuit. HumEliminator (radio shack). You didn't tell us if your PC had been enabled in control panel for either device. I have had no luck using the rear aduio output on any computer. Front headphone jack on PC does not need enabled and will work better for this. Unless you use a USC codet interface which is better yet for CD quality in sound. Also make sure the Aux inout is enabled on TV as well. Direct Input would be the same. Lastly,,you are 100% positive the backside is input and not actually out put or gaming inputs.

Aux input for sony car stereo (cdx c 5000r)

For Sony Stereos, you will need to get what is called a Bus Converter. The RCA ports you are trying to use are for a CD changer or alternate device like satellite or HD radio, and those have to have some sort of frequency signal to even be selected. You can find a Bus Converter that will allow you to use this as an Auxiliary input. The device you are looking for is called a Sony XA 300, and it will allow you Two extra Aux Inputs, I believe.

Aux sound problem

It sounds like you've connected to the front or rear audio RCA output.

Pioneer CD players generally don't have a direct auxiliary input like that - what you'll have to do is get a CD-RB10 adapter(it plugs into the CD changer connector on the back, and your cable would plug into that).

No sound when connecting to TV

I just figured it out right now. Press the "AUX/DI" button twice. When you push it once, it selects the "AUX" input and when you push it a second time, the screen will show that you've selected the "DI" input.

Thanks to Phillips for not making a theatre system that automatically selects for you... =P
